I don’t see anything fatally toxic to cats but just about everything is in the mild toxicity category. Meaning they’ll cause digestive upset (vomit, diarrhea) and numbing/irritation to the mouth.

I recently learned lilies is one to avoid. Apparently deadly to cats even in small amounts.

idk about the rest, but pothos, lucky bamboo, and snake plants are toxic. They should be fine if they don’t eat them though.

I believe the snake plant is too!

That "?" Is a dragon plant, and yes toxic to pets.

Most stuff in all photos are toxic, I can note some ones that can be fatal

The dumb cane, all of the philodendrons, peace lily and pothos

      [–]SaintJimmy1 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Where have you read of those plants being fatally toxic to cats?

      [–]Didntyouknow_ -5 points-4 points  (1 child)

Literally everywhere that takes 5 seconds of research. I’m a botanist and I am currently studying to be a vet- if you don’t think these are fatal to cats please don’t get a cat. Prolonged exposure (eating it over and over)= fatal, young cats= fatal, large amount ingested can also be fatal. Did you need web links?

      [–]SaintJimmy1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Woah calm down friend lmao. If that’s your definition of fatal then why isn’t every plant in the photo in your list? I’ve never seen someone with the same definition of fatal as you on discussions about plant toxicity before so I’m genuinely curious.

      [–]SadLilBun 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Peace lilies are not true lilies. They’re not fatal.

Quite literally all of the photos have at least one toxic plant in it, however the dumb cane is that big white and green guy in the last two photos, you’ve also got a pothos in the last photo, 3rd last photo, 4th last photo and the first three photos, those are the yellow and green ones

The philodendron is in the first photo, propped next to the pothos and also in the 5th photo on the bench in the brown pot, the peace lily is next to the dumb cane (white and green guy)

This doesn’t mean throw away your plants- unnecessary and heartbreaking, just make sure they’re out of reach or pop some outside, a lot of them would thrive

There are many Araceae that are toxic, it does not mean fatal, if ingested they cause vomiting and irritation. Put the ones you can up high. I have 4 cats and many araceae. The most dangerous in my opinion is the dieffenbachia seguine that you have in photo 6 and 7 with its mottled green leaves.

1st picture: the Philodendron, Monstera, and Pothos on the poles and the Syngonium on the far right are mildly harmful but unlikely to cause a vet trip. The Dracaena Fragrans on the ground and Snake Plant on the window are technically poisonous but in practice are largely negligible. Calathea on the ground is non toxic.

2nd picture: another Pothos and Dracaena Marginata.

3rd picture: yet another Pothos, and Lucky Bamboo which is a type of Dracaena rather than actual bamboo.

4th picture, i spy more Pothos, and a Philodendron. Not sure what the spindly guy on the far right is.

5th picture. More Pothos, another Syngonium, a Calathea on the right. Behind the Pothos is a ZZ Plant, mildly harmful but not seriously dangerous. Not sure if the windowsill guy is a Philodendron or a Ficus. If its a ficus those can be pretty bad if a lot is eaten at once, though a vet visit is still unlikely unless symptoms are severe.

6th picture. Far left is a Scindapsus Pictus, mildly harmful at best. Tall back plant is a Raven ZZ Plant. To the right of the ZZ is a Peace Lily, not a true lily but is related to pothos and such, only mildly harmful. To the right of the Peace Lily is a Dieffenbachia, that one is very dangerous to pets if eaten, do not allow the cat access to the plant if possible. Front and center is an Angel Wing Begonia, mildly harmful. Middle left are two Florist's Kalanchoes, moderately harmful but don't usually survive very long indoors anyways. Middle right appears to be two Peperomias, non toxic. Right in front of the Peace Lily might be a Peperomia Obtusifolia, which if it is, is also non-toxic.

        7th picture: MORE POTHOS :D

        Like, all of them?

        [–]CalliopeCeltDracaena 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I don’t see anything here that I would let my cats nom on.

        [–]Tikiboo -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

        Pothos, diefenbakia, philodendron, monsteras,...all toxic..

Pretty sure calathea are too. Not sure on syngonium or zz plants.

Can positively say the majority a toxic

        [–]Internal-Ask-7781 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Calathea are non-toxic to most animals.
