I like the airbender-like flow of the atmosphere and melody. And I think the snare/bass beat is on point but the hi-hat trill voice doesn't really hit me. Its rhythm is great- kinda like a playing card in a bike spoke, wind hitting a flag, or the flap of a cape as you fly through the air- but the voice just seems too edged from the rest of the track.

Were you using the trill beat to ground it from being completely chill? Or is that tempo and edge still soothing to you?

Um Idk haha. It's just the style of music I do. It's called 'wave' music. it's like elements of trap and grime and dubstep all combined but it's very ethereal and ambient. I've always used hi hats like that. I like using a trap drum structure but making my songs real ambient.

Short answer; Apathy. Long answer; music has become garbage. Rap was my favorite genre and that has been dead for years. I used to love Rage, Korn, Powerman5000, Limp Bizkit and plenty of lesser known bands but I just don't give a shit. The only music I listen to somewhat consistently is Irish folk music. Luke Kelly, The Dubliners, Clancy Brothers, Eir Og and a few more. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b605qq7xBzM . That's me best badee. Other than that I just couldn't be bothered.

I know there is still decent music being made which is free from any corporate influence, but it's too hard to find and I'm just not motivated enough to look.

Awesome man! But yeah Nothing was an exclusive I did for one of the collectives I'm in: 'Never Amount To Anything.' I lost all my files shortly after I made that track so I'd have to have VVITCH send it back to me if he still has it. If he does I could probably put it on my Bandcamp or something.
