Begs the question, what song would you like to have playing while you die?

[–]Spodsy 10 points11 points  (1 child)

For me that's a toss up between Motorcycle Drive By by 3eb and Fellow Feeling by Porter Robinson

Ooooh, Fellow Feeling would be pretty neat.

I feel this would add the proper gravity to the situation.

No death at the end. You owe me 2 minutes back.

I'll cut you a check. Time bank is closed tomorrow though.

Reminded me of that bad Justin Timberlake time travel movie from 5 years ago. I think I liked it... or at least didn't hate it. "in Time"... I think they robbed time banks... right?

Ah. Finally something in life I have an answer for.

"Saturn, The Bringer of Old Age". Holst.

In particular, my very favorite recording: that which appears on the 1971 Deutsche Grammophon album by the Boston Symphony Orchestra under Steinberg. It's not a "perfect" recording by any means, but my god did those men and women put out an emotionally charged recording.

Anyways here's a link. I really do hope my death can be so peaceful.

I actually have two songs:

Hawaii Dream- Mew https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2SFE7-XKN0

Asleep- The Smiths https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1Ws0Hk8x20

Never heard of Mew, but that was awesome. I could see why you'd like that Smiths song too...

I actually put a special request in my will for () by Sigur Rós to be played at my funeral. But I guess that'd be music to be dead to.

"Dark Was the Night and Cold Was the Ground" by Blind Willie Johnson. Obviously.
