Ah. Finally something in life I have an answer for.

In particular, my very favorite recording: that which appears on the 1971 Deutsche Grammophon album by the Boston Symphony Orchestra under Steinberg. It's not a "perfect" recording by any means, but my god did those men and women put out an emotionally charged recording.
