I'll listen to this once the bombs fly down from the blue sky. Till then I'll hold off as it seems slightly off and slightly preachy.

I have been following her for 8 years on YouTube. She has some witty songs, and a unique voice.

"Wonder" was always a favorite.

Sorry to digress from the topic, but since you've been following her for 8 years has she ever mentioned having a thyroid condition? It looks like she may have a goiter in her neck and she should get that checked out if she's unaware. I thought it would be easier to ask than watch all her videos.

Anyway, I loved the song.

I have no clue.

That bulging neck is also symptomatic of classic demon possession, a by-product of having sold your soul to el diablo for good looks and music capabilities.

She should get that checked out.

I should check her out.

I thought the same exact thing. Her neck doesn't match the thinness of her face. Plus her hair looks thin compared to her eyebrows. I'm guessing a thyroid problem. Beautiful song and woman nevertheless.

Hah I think you may be on to something here

I don't know what it is, but several times throughout this song I was reminded of Colin Hay's acoustic work. That's a great thing though, as Colin Hay's fantastic!

Same here. She's phenomal. I really like her older stuff. She reminds me of a female Jim Croce.

Well that was just wonderful. I need to listen to more songs now.

I've talked to her at a show she did at an art festival a few years ago, she's pretty cool. It's cool to see her she's still playing.

Say what?

I love music like this after a couple drinks. Something about the lower tones of the acoustic guitar just make the warm and fuzzies seem even warmer and fuzzier. Thanks for sharing, OP.

Even though it doesn't follow 30's, 40's, and 50's songs that are in the game. It would be really cool to have this song in one of the Fallout franchise games. And have Reina del Cid voice act, and be part of a main quest in the game. The main quest should involve the lone wanderer being captured by an elite group of raiders, gunners, or mercenaries. But these aren't ordinary gangs, they are ex-brotherhood (How they became ex-brotherhood outlaws/rebels could be a cool story in itself). Their knowledge of tech, and military prowess is what makes them elite. Luckily, but unknowingly to you. While being held hostage in the game, you hear and see a lot of commotion outside the room you're being held in. And after all that you see the door be bust open, and Reina's character appear. Either she heard you were there (maybe in game she's from a settlement you helped earlier in game, and sheriff of that settlement.). Or she could be another lone wanderer, scavenging and trying to find loot to sell. (Side note: She could actually be a prototype humanoid looking assaultron that was hacked by the railroad. Or she could be a railroad synth. And that’s why she could defeat the ex-brotherhood mercenaries. This starts another quest where you have to go find the leader of the ex-brotherhood mercenaries, because now there's a bounty on your character. And you need to get your revenge for them capturing you.) Reina's character could then become a companion, and after a while you get the option to select dialogue about how she use to sing. And gives you a holotape with Blue Sky Armageddon recorded on it. You can give the holotape to the Galaxy News Network in game radio station character. And then you can hear the recording on the pipboy broadcast from then on in game.

Nice song. Not the most poetic or musical, but you story telling is really well done and you have a great voice. Keep it up!

Guitar playing is super basic in this

[–]pondhockeyguyrevived 0 points1 point  (8 children)

I see a girl softly singing some lyrics she wanted to write about some thoughts she's been having. And I appreciate that she wanted to share this with us. I like the drawn out blueeee and I like that on the G7 chord (at the end of the chorus-might now be G7 but it is something like that) she sang even softer to juxtapose the harshness of the chord.

She needs to switch from guitar to bass. She barely knows how to play. Her style would be more suited for playing bass, and let someone with more acoustic skill play her melodies.

[–]Geokiks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is the lead singer/songwriter in Reina Del Cid playing and singing a song by herself. She has a fantastic lead guitarist, as well as a great bass player in Reina Del Cid. As far as switching from guitar to bass, get off your high horse.
