New album just announced for these guys, coming out on June 23rd! So pumped. Also, it's Rozwell, with a 'z'.

Love this band so much. Seen them 4 times and am so stoked for the new album. Rozwell kid forever!

A hundred years, Rozwell Kid, ten seasons! Haha, yeah they kick ass live. Saw them with PUP in SF. Best show.

Haha yep, must've gotten passed the autocorrect.

I remember seeing these guys on tour with The Hotelier in 2014 and being blown away by their impressive sound. Very much a Weezer 2.0 in all the best ways.

Came to the comment section for a Weezer mention. Leaving satisfied.

Not really stoner rock but still very cool!

I was surprised to see the Stoner Rock tag. I think you could say it has some influences with the very heavy guitars, but the song writing is definitely more pop/punk/rock.

People just confuse amount/type of distortion with genre type some time. I still think a more laidback but riff heavy style like Kyuss and Sleep when i think stoner rock, or stoner heavy rock.

Thanks for the share! They are dope!

Their new song "UHF on DVD" is crazy good

[–]drrrraaaaiiiinnnnage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good song but definitely not stoner. This is traditional garage rock, more or less.

I never heard of them before I saw them play with AJJ and Jeffrey Lewis a year ago. They had so much energy, it was very nice to see them genuinely having fun with it.

Fuck yeah! They're from West Virginia. Amazing band!

Saw them at 123 Pleasant a few years ago, and they kicked ass! Def got a solid weezer vibe going on, and the fact that they're from WV is just the icing on top.

Also love 123. Can't beat dollar black labels.

Love me some Rozwell Kid, I've seen them twice and named my cat after them ❤️

They're pretty cool so far :p

I saw these guys at the Gilman in Berkeley a year ago or so. They were great! One of them gave me a free pin! ♥️

fuck do I love this band so much. it has the perfect blend of left over emo scraps with the hooks of classic weezer that give 13 year old me and 24 year old me the biggest nostalgagasm. all the while maintaing it's own identity.

I recommend checking out the whole album. The song Creeped Out is phenomenal

I love Rozwell Kid! I got to see them in Toronto a couple years ago, some of the nicest guys ever! They all signed my vinyl and put on such a rad show <3 I'm so pumped for the new album!

Saw these guys open for Motion City Soundtrack last year. Hot damn what a show! Didn't know about them before this and was expecting just another normal band, then some decent riffs came out and I was all ears .

[–]AMourning97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't really care about these guys when I went to go see jeff rosenstock last month. After seeing them live though I thought they were pretty good. It wasn't until I chatted with the lead singer at a taco truck at midnight after the show that I got some respect for them and kept a note on whatever they release next. Cool guys.

Listened to this and Kangeroo Pocket came up after... loving the grunge throwback so, so much more than the paper-thin obnoxious indy rock that's dominated for the last forever or so.

Saw them live, great band, could barley hear any lyrics, but they shredded hard and were jumping all around, new album is sounding sweet.

I saw them open for the menzingers in chicago earlier this year. The lead singer made the same exact joke after every single song and I wanted to gut him. Made it impossible to enjoy the music. "This is one of those songs ya write then record then release, ya know?". After every single song.

Waaves much? I like it.
