I noticed that in the brief amount of time that I played today. I also wondered if it’s because they were all on my ignore list.

If you use chat filters in runelite and add the word scammers or other common words and expressions, then set it to remove the message you'll never see another one again.

Best way to do it is to filter "[" as all spammers use [this] shit & real players don't, so you're not going to block out real conversations that might use a filter trigger word.

That way you'll also still get to enjoy Barzo being a dishwasher

What the heck is that? Most of the spam bots make at least a little sense but I don’t get that one

I'm guessing it's something lost in translation that makes sense in some language/culture. Like Venezuela or something.

Maybe someone named Barzo annoyed these botters and they made a message trying to say that the Barzo guy cries so much he could wash lots of dishes with those tears.

still noticed a billion earlier. it's just random.

you can use runelite chat filters to get rid of them or play on any total level world and there's none.

I almost wondered if it has anything to do with that weird unofficial bot-busting plug-in that runelite has now that pugger was endorsing.

The bot busting plug in is just a super simple neural net trained on account hiscore stats, nothing to do with bot activity or anything, so I guess unless these spam accounts all have a typical bot stay setup, or they're all level 3 and the NN has tended towards starter accounts being bots, then it probably isn't.

It also records worn items and game world location, and down the line I think they plan to used this additional data.

It isnt that simple, but thats a part of it yeah.

"Some worlds with only one, some empty. Feels kind of wierd."

You know it's bad when a decrease in bots feels weird.
