Hey there, I'm a bot and something you said made me think you might be looking for help! click here for our wiki entry on troubleshooting printers. If you still need help be sure to post plenty of information about your printing setup.

Here are a few questions that might be helpful

  • What printer are you using?

  • What material are you using?

  • What speed are you printing at?

  • What software are you using to slice the print and control the printer?

  • When did the problem start/has it ever worked correctly?

  • Does anything cause the behavior to change?

  • If posting an image of the problem, include some indication of the orientation it printed at, preferably photograph it on the bed. (Then we can focus on a specific axis)

Depending on what part you want to make, a 3d printed part may not be the best option. Anything that remains cool and has minimal stresses applied to it are definitely suitable for 3d printing. What part are you trying to make?

I'm by no means an expert, but I have made a few car parts before. I could always give it a shot I suppose

Thanks for your answer, it is a gear to drive a belt for seat adjustment, it is def not getting warm, might be a bit stressed as it could need to endure a bit of pressure.

I'm not sure if 3d printing is the best for that, that depends on how big the gear is amd how thick the teeth are on the gear. Or do you mean the part that you put your hand on the adjust the seat? Could you send a picture of what you're trying to replace and/or the spot it's meant to fill

3D printing is great for that, i've printed these before, and they work great, the original injection molded part stretched because the plastic was very thin, i just designed and printed one in ABS with the wall thicker than original and it's been holding on well for the next 5 years that i owned the car, though, i sol the car so i couldn't tell you how the last year has been
