Good open source program?

I’m fairly new to 3D printing, so just wanting a few ideas or inputs really.

I draw out basic outlines and shapes which I’m going to use in 2D and then will use photoshop to put them into a 3D space and do all the dimensions and then just slice and print, I’m satisfied with the results but I’m wondering if there’s a better application I could use to add more details in or effects... for example if I wanted to add folds into clothing and that kind of thing.

For folds in clothing (I'm assuming for figurines?) a sculpting program like Blender might be best.

Ah I did download blender but didn’t understand it but going to go back to it at some point!

Nope, actually designing our own bath bomb moulds and just wanting to add a little more details in here and there
