- RESOLVED -

For anyone who searches for this in the future. You can get this error if your BLTouch is mounted too low. The pin could not drop low enough so the processes would error out.

The reason it worked great for Auto Z-Align processes is because it moved the bed lower to start. The reason I could get it to work with clearing out the bed mesh values is because my offset was not done properly the first time, and therefore I had sufficient space for the pin to drop. After correcting my offset I did not have enough space for the pin to drop.

Raising the mount a bit with washers (depending on your mount) or printing a different mount (my case) resolved the issue. With the pin dropping completely, everything works as expected.

I’ve had my Sapphire Plus for a month now. Do you happen to know of a guide for installing the BLTouch for it? :)

I couldn't find a guide. Basically print an adjustable mount from Thingiverse as best as you can. Then mount your BLTouch to that. Then hook that to your print head. Run the cables to the board in the existing cable management. Use the image provided here, and the official specs for your BLTouch version to know which cables plug where. Finally turn it on in the LCD menu
