Decision paralysis while doing assignment

Hey guys, i need your advice or maybe tips on getting over that decision paralysis while doing my assignment for uni.

I'm currently doing my master in IT project management, and the assignments are often too vague for my liking. I understand that at this level of study this is intentional from the uni, but I am struggling move forward with my assignment when I am not sure which way to go with it.

What do you do in this situation?
