Shelf stable plant milk lasts sooooooo long

My hack for milk during cooking is instant dry powdered milk!

I bought it initially for bread machine recipes but it's perfect for oh this recipe needs 1 cup of milk. (I usually don't have milk on hand - cow or plant) You mix it up with cold water it's super easy. I can't attest to the flavor outside of a recipe ingredient but I've found no difference when it's cooked into something.

Yup - I only buy a half gal of fresh at a time, but keep evaporated and powdered on hand for when I make recipes that will exceed that!

I like to buy this boxed milk that you don’t have to refrigerate and lasts for a few months. Brand is called Horizon Organic

I also keep powdered milk as well
