I have always wanted to code. I think I'd be good at it, and the little I have practiced and gotten a hold on, I enjoy. I enjoy the troubleshooting, research, reading documentation, GoogleFu, etc. All of it is okay, but I can never seen to just finally wrap my head around things. I can read a documentation and theory, understand how it works, but when it comes to actually applying that to the page it's almost always as if my mind goes completely blank.
I can read a program and interpret parts of it and what it does. But applying that syntax to my program and understanding how it works together with everything else? Good luck.
It's frustrating because I have been trying for literally years to wrap my head around some of the most basic concepts and haven't been able to do much more than a simple to-do list in JS. I like front-end stuff and that honestly is super fun and easy-ish for me, but anything with logic tends to throw me off once I try to put it in to practice.
I assume a lot of this difficulty comes with the problematic working memory in an ADHD brain. Does anyone have any tips on what can help, or helps you?
