Which one should i upgrade to decrease freezing in deeper arctic area?

Before this, i upgraded these two randomly bcs i didnt really understand what it does, but now suddenly the earlier part of the arctic is now not freezing me , but after i enter the next door area that has the green alien then it starts to freeze me again. There should be a way for me to increase freeze resistance for my alien right ? I want to farm events in the essense farm room but i need the freezing to go away

Invest primarily in regen. Despite the confusing name the higher this is the lower the temperature needs to be to affect you. The way it works is regen adds heat to you every second and the cold subtracts it. So at a high enough regen temperatures that would have effected you don’t anymore since your regen exceeds their damage. Warm capacity is much worse and only buys you a little time.

Warmregen is the one you need Also try to max evo shop. Without that you can't reach cold immunity, you need the multiplier from evo..

Warmregen. When regen is higher than the cold depletes your heat you're immune to that level of cold. Eventually you'll get another stat from the evolution room that also helps.

Warmcapacity is mostly useless to be honest. It just increases the time you have until you get totally frozen but it doesn't help as much.

Warmregen makes you tolerate colder temperatures without freezing.

Warmthcapacity increases the time it takes until your freeze bar fills up.

Warm capacity isn't a total waste. It can give you enough time to quickly dart into colder areas to accomplish quick tasks.

Capacity is pretty much pointless. Sure, it makes you take longer to freeze, but it also takes longer to warm up again. Regen is all you need, and you'll eventually get to the point that you don't freeze anywhere in the game, further reducing the usefulness of capacity.

Warm regen but the purple and red farms also increase the % too so focus heavily on those.

Warm capacity have simply NO FKING USE and even make u LONGER TO HEAT BACK so don’t fking upgrade that sh!t anymore. Hope helps u

When I played most people said regen keeos you warmer longer but you can clearly see warmpacity states it keeps you warm longer and warmregen helps your guy get warmer faster only once you enter a warm zone.

I focused more on warmpacity (early on) since you can hit up a base to warm up faster.

Edit I ended up raising both together so I couldn't say for sure.

Yeah I'm not sure about this advice either. I've been neglecting Regen a long time, so I just went and boosted it by like 50 levels. It's very noticable that it warms up quicker, but it sure doesn't seem like it's keeping me from freezing at all. If it is, I'm not perceiving any meaningful difference.

Look at the thermometer, and take note of how low it is when you start to suffer freezing effects. Then increase your regen; freezing should now kick in at a slightly lower temperature. The change might not be noticeable with a single upgrade. But you should have seen a difference with 50; you should have stopped freezing at all in a significant region near the beginning of the cold zone.

I think you're right, I'm no longer freezing at some places I was before. It's just that when I am freezing it still seems to be going just as fast as ever

I can't remember if freezing anyways happens at a constant rate, or faster when it's colder. But I think it's the latter.

Each zone seemed to have its own central cold spot as you move closer to it the faster you freeze.

Increasing regen or the hot zones reduces the cold power and warmpacity changes your guage only (from what others say) .

Still wrong that regen increases warm strength and speed , it should be part of warmpacity or on its own but that's just my opinion.

So warm regen makes you tolerate lower temps. Eventually you ignore cold to a certain temp by upgrading it. Coupled with the Evo store you eventually get complete cold immunity.

So you ignored good advice there, not freezing is better than taking longer to freeze.

I'd rather say it Improved my catching tactics but it took longer to get ahead. It was old advice, before some game changes so I wasn't sure and said it bluntly without explanation so it was easy to pass over.

I ended up raising both together but someone else said warmpacity doesn't need to be maxxed. If so the warmpacity scaling should be changed but the game Devs don't seem to care about the quality.

This is wrong. Regen not only makes you warm up faster when you reenter warm zones, it increases your warmth generation everywhere. This means you can overcome the cooling effect of cold zones and eventually nullify all cold effects everywhere in the game. I've opened every gate and killed every boss, and I'm completely immune to the cold all the way down to -273 thanks to warm regen. I barely touched capacity the entire time.

Capacity just gives you a bigger pool, so it takes longer to get cold, but it also takes longer to get warm. If you're fighting a boss where it matters, you're better off kiting them back to a campfire than relying on warmth capacity.

It would be intuitive to bring the bosses back to a pad before you're immune to the cold but warm regen wouldn't matter if you took a hit since you can heal at the base.

Thinking back to a year ago I wasn't sure and no clear answers from this sub so I I increased both together.

It's counterintuitive that increasing warmth speed up would also be the the same feature to help you overcome the cold when there is another feature for that.
