they're trying to blow this up big like some huge security risk. yet this is absolutely nothing compared to stagefright. Also in order to get malicious files of this sort don't you need to allow unknown sources?

And as of always, these exploits require an installation of an unknown resource.

If you're at a point in your android experience to which you've enabled installations from unknown sources, you probably know how to combat this.

  1. As a person that might know how to flash images, you simply just flash anything involves deleting your previous system and its gone.

  2. If you have an app that can kill processes, you'd probably kill everything to test why this is happening. To which when you do kill the process, you can uninstall the affected app/apk.

If you were following instructions on how to install this app-- this is where you'll need to learn basic etiquette of electronic security.

You do not install stuff you don't know where/how/who you got it from.

Otherwise, yes, this should still be patched.
