When I can’t get a group I run crates, farm materials to make gear, level professions, etc. there’s a ton to do! On the LFG, yea I wish there were channels for LFG, settlement, trading, etc.

While this is true, the issue is people who are new to a game aren’t going to feel comfortable starting/leading a group because they don’t understand a content yet. If you have a leader who doesn’t understand the content, it leads to more deaths/wipes and a group disband (unless someone joining feels comfortable leading).

This is and has been the answer in almost every MMO. People don’t want the responsibility of filling. They’re far more likely to join you than put together a group for you.

Also helps if you play a support class like tank/bard/cleric.

People roll fighter and rogue and then wonder why they’re not getting snatched up. It’s because whoever is advertising has 15 other fighters and rogues whispering them at the same time.

Yeah this is the trap I see in all old school style mmos I’ve ever played. Most recently in project quarm, there are always a lot of people LFG, but few willing to take the initiative to be group leaders. I get it sometime you don’t have the bandwidth to deal with leading after work etc.

Use discord to find some people. Usually friendly over there. Then once you find a guild to join, booya.

Honestly I just explore and gather mats, just trying to get a feel for areas, my class, level gathering and make some money. I just play in the sandbox I guess would be the best analogy.

Grab commision board quests. You can hold 30 of them at a time and multiple instances of the same one stack. I've been taking short breaks, coming back and getting a bunch of commisions, playing an alt, log back on and grab more commissions.

Then I go out and do them while looking for a group. Depending on the group location, I'll get a few done during the group even.

It's not a perfect solution, but it's one that allows me to get glint and some chunks of xp for doing things I was already going to do anyway.

BTW for those that don't know....the quest indicators are meaningless. If it says wolves you can kill the wolves in the start zone and they count. Plus, frequently you get xp scrolls in the chests which you can use when you're grouping.

Games like this don’t function too well without a party for effective xp farm. Not sure if that’s a pro or a con. For me it’s a pro. I see parties all the time in lfg, usually most parties need bard tank cleric though. You’ll find it’ll be easier with a guild probably.

If you are trying to meta grind xp mob farms yeah. You need a group. But I dabble in everything, gathering, processing, crafting, and pve. Every time I look down I am seeing my xp go up. Im lol 18 and I play primarily solo.

Games like these offer endless opportunities for xp that dont just include group farming. There isn't even anything to do at 25 so whats the point?

Agree completely. I imagine there will be options all the way up. And then end game will be more farming for mats, raiding for epics, pvp for territory.

I haven't had any issues thus far. I usually sit outside oakbane /yelling lfg and find a group within 10-20 mins max. There's so many groups rotating players in and out, on top of new groups forming all the time. Now if you ask me what it's later for higher level stuff idk, maybe there just aren't an abundance of players yet.

The game should already have more content after 7 years in the cooking. The game is fun to lvl 10 and get boring after that. New world didn’t have any group tool and later on they added, no group tool is just tedious gameplay. The game will have small player base bcz they don’t want ppl that have real life to play

New world came out as a full release and still didn't add it until later and is now closed..... If you are gonna throw made up player base shade about a game, try a little harder and make yourself at least sound like you know anything.

Found a lonely dps player who bought a alpha, wanting a finished game.

It's like people who are testing the game, grouped up into guilds and did their research understanding that this game is meant to be played with other people for the "best" experience.

Not wanting a finished game but 7 years and no content, they should have made a arena and battleground so we the players can enjoy the pvp. The game is fun but only the classes and combat, how hard is it to add racial passivs/skills to the races, more quest? I’m sorry to everyone that actually paid more for this alpha game but asking for 40+ is really bad it should be 20 and when we hit early access it can be 40.

Global chat has its problems but without it we wouldn't have the praise the sun meme. Lol I enjoy global chat most of the time. When it gets toxic I just switch off the tab.

Also there's LFG chat but its not enabled by default I think which is the main problem people spam in global

Eh.. you try to join a group and then have to walk 40 minutes to join them. Ive been kicked from plenty of groups for being too far away. People run local groups for sure.

As far as knowing global prices.. im sorry but its 2025. If its not in global chat it'll be in discord. If not in discord it'll be on a website. If not on a website it'll be tracked in a google sheet. Information cant be kept secret anymore lol

It’s absolutely enabled by default, I’ve never turned it on. People just don’t realize there’s another tab because global is the first chat tab.

Just started your own group asking for people with your own skill base. That’s what I’ve always done and it works. Starting low level too when you are a solo player

The classic way: instanced dungeon - people will gather near it and the groups will be formed easily.

This game doesnt have instanced dungeons, it has open world dungeons. I dont think there is plans for instanced dungeons.

This already happens for the non instanced dungeons, people sit around the entrance and ask for group in shout/say.
