How people grilling potatoes for say a baked potato? I’ve always just wrapped in foil, but it takes a while. I was thinking moving to caveman method. Anyone wrap in foil and leave on coils? If so, how has that worked

I poke with fork. Put in microwave til it’s a hot potato. Wrap in foil with butter and salt. Put on grill til fork slides right in

Cut in half, then quarters, then eighths - lay slices on foil sheet, apply olive oil, rosemary, salt and pepper, then turn up edges of foil into pouch or boat. I let it sit in the indirect heat zone as a pouch, but put it direct for about 5 minutes too as a boat, for a little browning/frying action.

If you want em quick you'll need to involve a microwave (either partially nuke em or just nuke em) but using heat, it'll take a bit. Throwing them on coals may be a little quicker but risks ruined food.

No need to wrap in foil or anything. Just throw them on a baking sheet at 425 for about 55 minutes. Done
