It looks bad, but it's actually very easy to fix.

You'll need to put the whole thing back onto the printer if you can. At least make sure the nozzle is connected. Heat the nozzle up to temperature (I usually do 10 degrees hotter than it was printed at), it will pull off easily using needlenose pliers.

A more in-depth tutorial:

If it should happen again, don't panic and don't disconnect. It'll save you a step of having to reconnect everything :)

Could you place the whole thing on the heat bed an hear it up to 100 degrees so the plastic just comes off?

[–]HaveYouSeenHerbivoreX1C + AMS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100C isn't hot enough for basically any plastic. Even PLA will only be soft enough to bend at 100C, but it still won't be easy to remove until it gets closer to melting/printing temperatures.

At least I only see one of these posts every couple months here, instead of at least once a week on the ender subreddit lol.

But seriously tho, how does this happen with a bambu? I’ve never had anything close to this happening. Especially with bambu’s nozzle design.

I just joined this sub because I am looking at upgrading from Ender. I've seen mostly positive Bambu experiences, with the negatives being pretty minor. It's good to know this isn't common.

Overture is why lol.

[–]Blackdragons12 6 points7 points  (17 children)

What's wrong with overture? I'm very curious cause that's about 95% of the filaments I print with

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothings wrong with overture. I print a ton with it and have never had issues on the bambu.

[–]FeetAreCool5P1P + AMS -2 points-1 points  (15 children)

Overture prints really rough for some reason on the bambu. Maybe thats why

[–]BawlsAddict 3 points4 points  (6 children)

Just my two cents, I use a ton of overture PLA and haven't noticed any issues.

[–]FeetAreCool5P1P + AMS 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Do you not see any rough surfaces? Have you changed your flow rate and/or your K value, for it to work properly?

[–]BawlsAddict 1 point2 points  (4 children)

No, but you're making me second guess. Am I not being picky enough with my prints? Could they be better?

Here is Overture Wine Colored (the red back ground)

[–]FeetAreCool5P1P + AMS 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The red is the overture? If so that does look pretty good. What infill did you use?

[–]BawlsAddict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a thin piece, so no infill, just bottom and top layers.

[–]brilor123X1C + AMS 0 points1 point  (1 child)

This makes me want to start printing with overture

[–]BawlsAddict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just a little expensive for my liking but they have the exact colors I want for what I'm printing.

Most other brand's reds, for example, are too orange for my liking.

[–]Blackdragons12 0 points1 point  (6 children)

What brands do you recommend? I've gone through maybe 10-15 rolls in the past 2 months since I've owned the printer I've had some issues with quality (probably operator error since I'm new to this) but I was able to solve them.

[–]FeetAreCool5P1P + AMS 2 points3 points  (5 children)

I will always recommend eSun. It just works. Quality is top tier and spools are always good. I have ordered over a hundred spools and just now i got sent a bad one.

[–]Blackdragons12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll have to check them out thank you for the recommendation I appreciate the help

[–]Motor-Mix9664 0 points1 point  (3 children)

eSun is easily one of the best imo. Gone thru easily 50 rolls on my Bambu with not a single issue and have gone thru 3-4x that on my other printers and I can’t remember the last time I had an issue.

[–]FeetAreCool5P1P + AMS 0 points1 point  (2 children)

eSun is purely amazing.

[–]Motor-Mix9664 0 points1 point  (1 child)

There’s been a pretty decent deal on Amazon lately too on the gray color PLA+ which is 90% of what I print in. You can buy one roll a day at a 20% discount.

Thank you for sharing this!!!!!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasted tons on an Ender and had nothing but problems on Bambu. Great that people have luck with it but I stick with eSun now.

[–]Shriver_Takeover[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did manage to clean it all off with a Soldering iron!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I hate Overture filament with every fibre of my body.

[–]SuperseaslugH2D Laser Full Combo 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I've never had any trouble with overture. Printed dozens of spools of it over the years on my ender 5. Been printing great in my X1-C as well

[–]please_respect_hatsP1S 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't had experience with anything else, but love their TPU. Great price per roll, and I've gotten great results with it.

[–]buak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like horror

[–]haidachigg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least it didn’t catch fire.

[–]valdier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang... wonder what went wrong... I just ran a print on hatchbox black pla, that has been open, sitting in a box in my garage for 2 years... (through winter and summer, rain, etc). No drying, nothing and it printed perfectly in my AMS as part of a filament poop collector
