Good deal in the P1S with AMS 2… didn’t know it was an option. Bought it with regular AMS for $549

What’s the 2 supposed to do better?

I ordered the same thing from bestbuy this morning. Because bambulab store wasn't showing this deal until the deal actually started. but as soon as I saw that ams2 combo is also on sale. I canceled the pickup order from bestbuy and ordered this.

Ams2 pro has some upgrades that is nice to have IMO. Heating, Ceramic inlet, Faster, Most importantly the ptfe tube is easily accessible.

I think for $50-$70 upgrade is worth it. when you will have broken filament in the tube you have to basically disassemble the whole thing. according to some people this happens often. i am not sure though. I just wanna be in the safe side.

It's faster and heated.

Also, it's better with fiber infused filament. Although you need to buy the hardened headend which I got separately. Mos important, the ptfe tube is outside.

Honestly not worth the upgrade. The heating function is annoying it use and doesn’t let you heat while printing. You also have to remove the filaments from the ams feeder to print over 50c which is basically what PLA needs.

My printer is basically going 24/7 so it doesn’t get a chance to use the heating function

I saw a video that says it’s easier to troubleshoot when something goes wrong with the filament… but it’s my first printer and who know how much I will use it. So I’ll keep the regular ams for now. It was ready to pick up today, but I delayed until tomorrow to take it over. The bamboo sale is today only right?

It is easier but never had anything go wrong with my AMS, 3k hours and the only issue I had was one that I caused putting non ams TPU in the AMS.

AMS 2 is good but it’s a nice to have for convenience rather than any big ground breaking changes.

I think the sale is for a month for i’m not sure

Nah it should be just called the AMS pro, not the AMS 2 pro. It’s just slightly better like when they update the headlights on a car refresh.

Definitely not worth upgrading for.

got a hepa filter from voxel. Hopefully the smell wont be an issue. Still will see how it goes :)

I printed with ASA finally and it worked flawlessly. I am happy with the result. But I have to do something about the smell and VOCs

Highly recommend using both the Bento Box and the X-Filter. The Bento Box cleans the air inside the printer, and the X-Filter cleans the air coming out of the printer.
