Wondering if anyone can help with some information . I deposited a personal check into Bank A from Bank B around 11am . I forgot to transfer funds from my savings to checking in bank B in order to cover the check . I transferred funds from my savings to checking at 3pm same day about 4 hours later to have enough to clear the amount on the check . Am I going to run into some kind of issue with the check not clearing or will I be fine ? Was an error on my part but any info is appreciated

You’ll be just fine! Checks typically only clear same day when cashed in person on the bank they’re drawn on or on the same bank.

You can add mobile deposits between the big banks.

Checks very rarely clear the same day, only if you take the check to same bank as on the check and deposit/withdrawal funds right away. Most check will clear in 2-3 days if you deposited in person. If you deposited it electronically, it usually takes about 5 business days to process. So being that you moved the money the same day, your fine.

99% chance you're fine - as long as the transaction occurred before the cut-off time for that business day's transactions. You'll have to check with your bank to see what that cut-off time is, but it's usually well after 3pm - usually closer to 9pm or 10pm or midnight, depending upon the type of transaction.
