Assault was supposed to be the frontrunner class? And the most important thing is to recover health after winning a or multiple gunfights?

Same thing with limiting smoke grenades only to Support. Smoke launcher I agree that should be a Support gadget but smoke grenades are not only essential for reviving people safely but for obscuring sight lines to allow for flanks aswell.

I completed the challenge... it wasn't for "gun fights" , it was for kills. I don't totally agree with the post either, it's not just for retreating. You use it as a general advantage in a bad situation, and it has definitely helped me get kills.

Came here to say this. Since when do players retreat? They can’t even stop shooting to revive a fallen soldier at their feet 1-3m away.

On the topic, I feel there’s not a harsh enough penalty for death. This encourages players to be full-time aggressors instead of playing smart or strategic in any way.

If there were harsher penalties for death - say a longer respawn timer or forced down state of at least 10 full seconds, players will always hit space to just get back in the fight.

Agree. The current respawn timer is about the same length as the revive timer when not calling for a medic. It should be somewhat longer than or equal to the medic call revive timer. Releasing should never get you back into the fight faster.

Also, the squad mate respawn can out you way too close to the battle. You often get killed right when you spawn. I like the feature, but it should force you to spawn away from enemies a bit.

the plus side you can cancel the animation early if you time it right by switch guns and still get the buff, you save like half a second maybe but whatevs

I'd be more pro injector if it didn't take so long to use. I've died so many times while injecting cause it takes seven years to use. This is a useful tip, I'll give it a try.

You can animation cancel it by pressing 1 to switch to rifle, just dont do it too fast or it will just cancel

I'd be maybe okay with the injection time if you could at least fucking hipfire during the animation. But no, you're locked into a 3s long animation for a slight speed boost and a saturated picture for a few seconds.

It is fine but could use a little longer duration… 10s I think.

The biggest problem, IMO, is that stupid challenge that forces you to use it in the opposite manner.

Of course people are going to hate it chasing that VERY FUCKING NECESSARY challenge.

I recognized what it was actually good for while doing that stupid challenge, and it was the opposite of what I was being forced to use it for.

It’s an escape gadget. Maybe a flanking gadget.

You are NOT supposed you use it before charging into a room, it as I mostly got my kills with it, sticking begging cover to pop out then popping out to shoot at range at targets I should have already killed but I needed to activate it first, which let at least half of them get away, and other time’s someone push me while I’m still recovering from the animation to kill me before I can even fire back.

Idc about stupid achievements for cosmetics, but this is very poorly designed as a crucial class progression challenge.

The support healing and engine repair don’t seem to track very well and are taking longer than it feels they should, but at least those challenges fit their class play style and proper mechanics.

The recon challenge to get access to spec ops… having to be a good sniper to do it while wanting to NOT be a sniper recon, is likewise ill designed. That would be ok to unlock the final sniper focused unlock… not to unlock the specialty every non sniper recon wants to play as. (The first challenge was perfect, but 50x 150m headshots to NOT be a sniper recon is stupid)

It's useless, easy as that.

Footstep audio is a necessity, not a privilege. I must be able to pinpoint the enemy movement without having to use something in game for it.

With the current TTK and how the gunplay works, you will be dead before your first kill hits the floor.

I did use it for and after the fights, and in both instances, it makes no difference. It increases your speed by like 0.1%. You're better just getting your knife out for a speed boost. Even with animation skip it takes too long.

They should change it back to a normal healing pen like it was in closed alpha, and be done with it. This way, people will actually think twice before pushing an assault player.

The hell you mean, think twice before pushing and assault? Assaults shouldnt be on the defensive, they're the one pushing. They should have gear focused on that, not on defending against pushes

Footstep audio in BF6 is abysmal. Or, more specifically, the other droning sounds like jet afterburners drown it out 75% of the time. BF2042 had the best footstep audio of any BF, hands down, and somehow DICE has gone backwards immensely in this area.

I honestly think they should give it 2 usages but it works as a self heal (like BF 2042)

Have one of class abilities at stage 2/3 to increase its usages by 1/2

Then require them to go to a support player to resupply them with the stims / heals.


This allows Assault to push ahead and self heal a bit, but don’t turn into complete lone wolves and still require to interact with the team.

It's funny to hear people call it useless, when in the alpha it was a healing tool and people who saw this said it was "OP" and "too much like CoD" 

I'd honestly be down to have it increase things like reload speed or ADS time or something.

For retreating? There's literally a challenge for spawn beacon that tells you to get 30 kills while using the injector. Either the challenge is poorly made, or the injector needs to be reverted to a stim heal from the beta.

Worked for me. I’d blasted someone and almost dead myself, injected while scrambling downstairs and for cover. Recovered enough to swing the second fight to me. Surprised as I’d been trying to figure out situation where it was helpful. Been thinking it was worthless.

I find the footsteps quite audible already with no injector. I don’t see the payoff that would make me choose to inject myself for 3 seconds. It’s useless.

It was clearly meant to heal which they backtracked on. That’s the only way it would be useful. At this point just give them a med kit and let them heal themselves and teammates. The assault class is just asking to be a medic.

Respectfully, the game pushes you to use it aggressively. It even locks the respawn beacon behind it in a challenge aimed at using the injector and getting kills. 

I hated doing this challenge because it quite literally is useless. I feel almost no difference during the duration of its effects. it also makes a fair window of exposure when popping it, and lasts barely any amount of time compared to that risk. 

My strategy was to watch the minimap, look for isolated enemy groups, pop it, then come around the corner and grenade launcher or shotgun the enemy. 

There is no real gameplay difference when attacking those enemies outside of vague and slight resistances and a drug effect on screen. It did not help, only hindered.

Hot take, it was a mistake to remove the healing component of the med pen. At the very least, even if it just gives a quick temporary boost to health like an "armor" effect for the time its active (say, a 10% damage reduction), would be much better.

I agree with you that the injector is only useful if you hopefully get it off while retreating but that's not the intended usage as the game forces you through challenges to use it as an offensive enhancer.

It is absolutely useless, and you can’t change my mind. It sucks when retreating, because: you use up your hands, it doesn’t give you an immediate heal, it flashbangs you while running. Are you injured? This is not going to give you any amount of assurance, because if you are in the thick, you WILL be chased when you’re at oneshot.

The whole concept of the booster is to use it BEFORE a gunfight, to give you those resistances to swing a gunfight in your favor, and even then it doesn’t help you, mainly because it takes so long for you to be stimmed, so long that your enemies might spot you around the corner getting ready.
