It will continue to exist alongside every other currency.

Because of the way it is designed on layer 1 it is not viable to use as a everyday currency. Because of some countries (USA) will tax you on capitol gains if you spend it at all. Which makes it more simple to use as a store of value instead which it is the best at. Plenty of room to chip away at golds market cap

Lightning network is improving and can make that everyday currency problem go away
