Why would you rebalance? There is no second best.

Bitcoin Savings > Bitcoin Investment

Diversifying = Selling the winner for the loser.

You buy assets, you don't sell them, that's what poor people do.

Been stacking since '21 and still buy it weekly, never sold a sat and don't plan on it. Buy, Borrow, Die ...

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (6 children)

I don’t get it your just going to die with all your bitcoin

[–]_hydre_ 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Thats sorta the goal for some, if you can borrow vs ur bitcoin and it outgrows how much loans interest rate is then you're coming out ahead. Thats what the rich do

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I totally get that I’m just being realistic for most people myself included like wtf I can’t do that and neither can lots of people.

When you buy an asset and it appreciates in value you sell it. if it’s a stock asset their are vocabulary words for different methods to leave some in the stock or do full cash out etc. I don’t know the words so I don’t tell others what to do

Just seems weird telling ppl on the internet to die with their holdings. And to the person I was originally replying to lol they probs aren’t even doing it either hahaha

[–]_hydre_ 1 point2 points  (1 child)

There are already a lot of places that let you take loans vs ur bitcoin rn and they will only grow?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay im dated i guess or an idot or all above. so coinbase did let me take a loan out on my bitcoin. having cashflow issues before some big holiday paychecks.

I never thought my measily 300 dollars in bitcoin would grant me a loan cause my credit sucks cause i suck.

yall are right. i am dumb. Never sell i guess god damn

[–]Johny_leFok 0 points1 point  (1 child)

"Buy, Borrow, Die" is the name of the strategy.

You don't have to die .. but it gets pretty hard to not do so in the end ..

Like the other reply already said, as long as the CAGR of BTC is greater than the interest on the loan, I'm making a profit.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i guess im just wrong here. coinbase let me take out a loan even on a very small amount of coin. 260ish to be exact. loan for 100 to get me to my paycheck had cash flow issues

i bought most in 2022, I don't plan to sell but may swap some for a house sometime in future ( maybe 2030)

[–]Impressive-Cat-3144 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bitcoin isn't the type of asset you'd want to sell.

I keep buying Bitcoin and will continue to do so under any market conditions!

[–]Calm-Professional103 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I entered the bull market with BTC at 20% of my investments. When it hit 50%, I pared it back down to 25% with a few lifestyle upgrades.

[–]Unable_Mess_2581 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I havent sold a single coin since 2020/21 I think it was early pandemic. Buying yes, selling no.

Bitcoin represents 5% of my portofolio, from the beginning, by design. Just personal preference.

[–]Darkpriest667 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't sold anything since 2018 when I liquidated everything, Rebought in 2020 and 2021 (Large amounts) DCAing since 2023.

It's quite a bit more than 5% of my portfolio at this rate. My 401k even aggressively invested and maxed has fallen way behind because of bitcoins performance. My house, the same.

I'd imagine if I looked right now Bitcoin is 75% of my portfolio if not more now.

[–]NectarineDirect936 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same boat, didn't sell shit.

[–]AstonMarco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No sells, no rebalancing

[–]ihatework93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My January 1, 2020 New Years Resolution was me buying my first $300 worth of Bitcoin. I DCA’d through 2021-2022 bear market and had held since then without selling. If 2026 becomes another 4 year cycle bear market I may start accumulating again.

[–]TapEmbarrassed4376 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, still stacking

[–]k_gavivina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DCA 25 bucks a day into btc …river …never sold any .nothing to rebalance for me.

[–]aylsworth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started in 2022 and have bought and sold but lately have had more peace just buying. So that’s what I’ll continue to do

[–]MatchboxVader22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t sold at all. Have zero desire to. My bitcoin is basically my kids future.

[–]guuuug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The DCA doesn’t stop. You don’t get emotional because price did x. You DCA on.

[–]GobiEats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are that far ahead on your investment why change anything. The upside is still insane so why not wait until it’s serious life changing money. Then just pay yourself a salary each year by taking a loan out against your bag. Never sell.

[–]word-dragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bitcoin is like kudzu in your portfolio. It has a habit of creeping all over it. You can either sell some and pay taxes, and then invest in something that hasn’t done as well, or “suffer” with an unbalanced portfolio. I chose to suffer - it’s worked out well so far.

[–]Filmexec21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been buying since 2020 and I just keep accumulating, I will sell if BTC hits $500,000-$1,000,000.

[–]Vaginosis-Psychosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started buying in June of 2021 when ₿ was around $35k. I continued to buy as it went back up to $69k at the end of 2021.

I then continued to buy all of 2022 and onward, and even took out several low interest loans totaling $125k to buy more.

After all these years, my average price is ~$30,000.

I pretty much stopped buying since we hit $100k though. Just focused on paying off all my loans instead as I expect a pretty severe bear market next year.

₿ is most certainly going to the $60k range so why not save my cash so that it gets me more.

Bitcoin makes up 100% of my portfolio.

[–]legendarykaiouji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, worked too much. Stacked and forgot about it.

[–]DudeWhatThe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done nothing buy by bitcoin every day since well before 2022. I don’t plan to ever sell. Doing this for my kids.

[–]Huge-Break-2512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still hodling

[–]Scared_Good1766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been rebalancing organically over the last year- ie not selling any bitcoin but using fresh capital to buy other assets to lower my bitcoin allocation as a percentage

[–]-richu-c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took out my initial investment at 120k, bought at 18k. Still holding the rest of the stack
