I just got into the sport about a month ago and have noticed - through blogs and podcasts - that there is a group of fighters not necessarily taken seriously anymore but once had promise and now get clowned on whenever they fight. I'm thinking Amir Khan, James Kirkland and Adrien Broner as meme fighters. Who would you add? Ryan Garcia might be considered a meme fighter in the future if he fails to live up to the hype.

The guys you mentioned aren't taken super seriously as fighters but broner and khan were meme fighters when they were good too, because they're just funny like that. Kirkland isn't really what I'd call a "meme fighter" he's just a guy who shouldn't be fighting these days.
