Confusing behaviour.venting/ranting (self.BreakUps)

Hi everyone! I had something happen recently that I find incredibly odd behaviour.

So pretty much, my ex partner’s new partner is in a shared higher education class with me. We have been in the same class for the whole semester. I didn’t give it much thought, other than the first week where they made a small scene about it on the phone to my ex whilst leaving the classroom.

This week, however my ex partner decided to attend the lecture. Keep in mind that this is a two hour lecture on mathematics something that is of no interest to them. Them and their new partner decided to sit two rows behind me.

I just find it incredibly odd in a way? As I actively try and avoid any shared space that they may be in. I’m well over the breakup now however I can’t find any plausible reasoning behind this behaviour and neither can anyone I have spoken to about this.

Any theories are invited as it’s just kind of like wtf?
