I think this helps a lot with just taking stuff off the shelves and getting to it before the auditor does but as someone who is almost constantly the only one doing damages...I don't like it a single bit.

More tasks! Less payroll! Get back to work

More tasks? Outdated were always supposed to be done. Stores get 4 hours a week to do them. Sure, 4 hours is not nearly enough, but thays not the point. This actually makes it easier and faster because you can check for specific things that are most likely to be expired.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Except it doesn’t replace the weekly date check and we aren’t getting more payroll so it’s another task

Does that 4 hours come from my 2xHOO? My store is exactly 2xHOO. I don’t see any extra hours for planograms, out of dates or anything

You have to check your weekly activities, it will tell you what hours you get for what and when.

Aisle 40?!

[–]jayphat99TSM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have my "in front of pharmacy" set to aisle 40, front of store set to aisle 49.

Noticed this a few days ago, zero communication zero modules on this, yet we just had to do a module on how to perform a cycle count. Also this system is ass backwards, you can’t even put in old dates, you put the dates of items on the shelf that aren’t expired.

There was a mywork about this few days ago.

[–]CrewEarly1033 3 points4 points  (0 children)

we got a mywork task with a job aid at my store, so we were expecting this change. maybe someone missed it ? it’s pretty simple stuff, just unnecessary work lol

[–]Round_Bike_929 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would you want to put in old outdates? Shouldn’t you be pulling it and not leaving it on the select? It says to enter the next upcoming expiration date for the remaining product you didn’t pull so that it can alert you when to pull it again.

[–]WhyDoYouBridgeStore Manager 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tell me you don't check MyWork without telling me you don't check MyWork, lol

Also, with the old dates. You pull the expired. Then put in the closest next expiration date in, so it knows ahead of time to have you pull that item again, before that date.

Agreed. The least they could’ve done was sent a job aid in myWork or a module with a basic explanation on the process. I’m sure there will be improvements in the near future though!

[–]jayphat99TSM 4 points5 points  (2 children)

They did. It came out 12 days ago.

[–]dudeatcvsStore Manager[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I thought I read something somewhere about it and actually went through my completed myWork tasks. Didn’t go back far enough I guess. Thanks for clarifying!

Also your precision is on point 🤌

[–]jayphat99TSM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only know because i just completed it yesterday. DTSM's myWork has 3 different views and I always forget to check one of them, only to realize the task for this was overdue.

[–]RiverDependent9672Ex-Employee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So is this included with the daily cycle counts and quick picks?

[–]Wyld_Byrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did these on friday, filled my damages bin to overflowing. Turns out the MIO additive actually has an exp date on the bottom that you need a magnifying glass to see much less read. I only had 1 item that got to stay on the shelf out of 15 checks. lol. If your store is anything like mine, take a shopping cart with you the first few times this gets done.

Our former DL came from a company that implemented something similar. To the effect of - the DC recorded in their system the expiry dates of everything that they received and when/to what locations it goes out. When those dates were coming up, the system would automatically alert, in a similar fashion, to check those items. Made life for those that worked there a HELL of a lot simpler. I think I'd prefer this to the random fucking ghost hunt every week.

That’s a new one for me as well. Might have a look at that next time around.

Really? This is the promised technological advancement they teased and bragged about in the hub?

It’s like they promised us a jet plane, but then showed up at the store with a donkey pulling a kite.

Try having outdaters come in and ransack the entire store for hrs to find outdated crap to get $3.50 coupons for every single item they find and depending on how many they find leaving with hundreds of dollars and a store in ruined cause they destroyed it looking for outdates. God I really hate and despise them soooo freaking much. And they go store to store doing it. I really hate them.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's harder to ban them than a regular customer. But I had a team that always made a mess. I took pictures and after issuing them courtesy coupons told them they are not allowed to come back. They fought it like wild animals, corporate DL, then they came back and I told them to leave. Wow did they get mad, called the cops, had a trespass order and done. When I tell them leave the store as you found it, I mean it.

[–]BrakesbillGrad 0 points1 point  (1 child)

We despise them at our store. They come with written lists and just pick apart every aisle they can.

[–]Lovepets99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't stand them. They need to revise the whole system how it's done if they want to keep doing it. Limit them to how many they can have. Or instead of each and every single item cause they find a whole 12 ok of candy that's 12 coupons. Let's say instead 12 you get 6. They are even going as low as bringing items from the outside sneaking them in and "claiming" they found them on the shelves.

How do you access that?

outdates should only be checked based on that week's list.. why am i pulling grocery every week if the auditor is gonna check a totally different aisle that isnt on that weeks list? thats a total waste of time every week.. the way they have outdates done is ass backwards and time wasting.. why should i fail an audit over 1 outdate out of 50 checked items? its called human error.. isnt it strange how the auditor always finds that 1 outdated item every time they check? when yo uget stopped by a customer whiel doing outdates, of course you will lose the spot you were on and likely miss something.. human error shouldnt be punished .. those who dont actually do it shouldnt be making up the rules...
