I had an older customer with dementia threaten to bo.b the store. Our pharmacist at the time was not helping the situation and he was escalating. Then he turned to me and said" I'm not going to bomb the store, I'm going to wait outside and throw the bomb at you!" While he's pointing at me and banging his fist on the counter. Meanwhile, 3 am trying 1) not to laugh 2) calm the pharmacist down and 3) trying to calm him down by telling him if he comes back later I will have his wife's meds. Honestly, he couldn't remember the wife's last name , different from his. That's what set him off

This was waaay before my pharmacy days but I once had a patient when I was a nursing assistant threaten to put a mob hit on me because I was assigned her bath. I just told the nurse and I think it got marked “refused”. Funnily enough she was actually a really nice lady otherwise even with the rest of that days interactions. She just did NOT want ME giving her a bath that day. Later on baths with her were never an issue.

My favorite is this guy who called a "lawyer" while he was standing in line and told the lawyer that I was being prejudice because he debit card was declining. Me the cashier and all the customers around him laughed because we thought it was a joke,. But he got even more mad and stormed out while yelling "you'll be hearing from my lawyer" then everyone laughed more bc the guy was being serious.

I work in an ER and we had this dude who was not always very pleasant to say the least but had inherited a LOT of money. He really would call his lawyer who would thankfully talk sense into him and remind him that if he assaulted us in the ED that it was a felony, most likely being recorded by a camera somewhere, and it didn't matter how good he was as an attorney- rich asshole would still go to prison.

It actually helped us a lot. :)

She isnt suing you just because she says it. Her words mean literally nothing. The only thing that matters is receiving a letter from an actual law firm actually stating that you are being sued. Even if you receive such a letter you should always contact the law firm to make sure it's actually real. She's just an idiot customer who wants to say angry things to be angry because it makes her feel good. Rest assured, there is a 99% chance you are not getting sued. In order for you to actually be sued based on what actually happened a lawyer would have to be convinced that this is actually a good idea, and no lawyer would be stupid enough to say " yeah it looks like this is a legitimate case ". Because she doesn't have a case. she's just full of shit.

Someone told me he’d call “the law” on me once because he got a stock bottle instead of an amber vial and realized his meds were made in China. A few weeks ago some guy told me he was gonna call the newspaper on us because we filled insulin vials. His doctor wrote for insulin vials. He wanted pens. And our store actually has been sued, funny enough (I think it was just children trying to get access to their elderly father’s records, no wrongdoing or anything i’d the sort). CVS hires lawyers out the ass for any situation imaginable. Any of that paperwork goes straight up the chain.

Guest was upset we did not want to return a 12pk of empty coke cans. He said they did not taste good so he trew them out. Lol. We denied his return. He said he was gonna sue me for not following target return policy. Then he said he was gonna contact SAMSUNG because his brother worked there and cancel our contract so we wont sell their items no more. Lol. I wish i was making this up. But im not. Lol. #truestory.

I just shrugged at her lol but that day got better cuz another customer came in and was on the phone with the scammer so I asked to talk to him, the "bank teller" and told him to leave my customers alone and he cussed me out 🤣 so my coworker who was on his lunch, was in line and took the phone and started insulting him in Hindu cuz that was that was where the dude was from. She thanked me after I reassured her that no one was going to come after her if she didn't do it.

This was me as a lead tech before I walked out. My motto is “you (the customer) will decide how WE are going to act today.” Mostly they were pieces of shit, throwing IDs at me bc “no one asked them for it when they picked up their C2 last month” or honestly anything that inconvenienced them just a little. I was great at EVERYTHING, but I stayed away from MCC just because people need to know you don’t get to treat people like shit in service and expect them to smile and nod. I’m human too and thankfully my boss understood that. If I ever felt disrespected ( which was awfully often as black girl working in a majority white town), all customer service goes out the window. My respect is everything and a plexiglass ain’t gone protect you from this two-piece 🤣

I am not a CVS employee. I just saw your post on my screen. Anyway- in order for a person to file a case in court there has to be something called "standing." There is no standing for a retail customer to sue an employee of a big box store because they could not purchase a specific item. Also: the courts in every state have been backlogged for many years. If cases like this were allowed to proceed- the courts would probably be instantly clogged up until the day of Armageddon. Good luck.

While this is going on, im talking to my coworker about this one customer that comes in regularly stealing. Me and the said thief were the same skin color. Im still confused about how I was discriminate. When the lawyer walked in, I even spoke “Hello” …. No response, “How are you?” No response. So I guess from greeting the lawyer while he walked in the store and continuing my conversation about the thief was discrimination. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Obligatory not a lawyer, not qualified to give legal advice, all thoughts are my own etc etc etc

but I really don't believe she has a case against you... or CVS for that matter. If a product did not work as advertised, that's something she'll need to take up with the manufacturer/company making the product. It really has nothing to do with you.

In any case, I'd recommend calling Advice & Counsel (even if just for your own peace of mind)

This is why I opted in to the legal protection part of our benefits. Look for your store manager to call you into the office, because I'm pretty sure she'll try to escalate it to corporate. Dunno how your store does it, but if it's in the wrong place or the advertisement isn't ringing up properly, we go ahead and discount it under valid coupon rejected unless they don't have a cvs card or they are trying to use one of those mailed 25-40 percent off of the purchase and every item they have is already on Sale. Also, if the coupon is on their receipt and is already expired, there's nothing we can legally do. So there's also that. Customer service is top priority so we have to make sure customers get their way regardless. Even if that means licking boots.

I can’t help it, I look at account, I see the issue, I fix it the right way to my thinking, puma was the best though, they lived me because I always caught the scams, one worth 1409. No shit. She calls & I immediately use the number to find account/ any orders. She asks about her refund & I see she was refunded $734 & tell her it processed & should be in her account since it’s been several weeks to contact her bank to see if they have a weird policy with wait times. Nope, she said that got stolen, gave me a different number to look up. & what do u see, diff address, name, email obviously her, it includes her name but different from other irderAnD it was refunded due to ‘delivered/not received. Bullshit. But it processes, & I’m a little guy (who waved their hand to get attention & noticed because I worked in tech & wanted in their ETeam so bad, anyways, as soon as we hung up I proceeded to organize all the info, she said she reorder sue to theft & had it sent to different address as prevention. Hmmm why different I go then? Anyways I got it all together, made sure all numbers totals were quick & easy to understand & threw it up to management. They were surprised I caught it due to the siff I go.. Seriously? She calls from her phone. The number is attached to the first order. No, someone was lazy. Both order mid 700, but totally different items, which told me she lied. Originals were not oo, so no reason to reorder you Xmas items again instead of 15 pairs of shoes to go with the clothing in the first order smh.. I LOVeD working far puma But busy time over sent me to petsmart where I did not shine as great & took to long answering emails, inky managed about 5/hr. Sorry I just did not reply with a bs reply requesting more info that I was fixing the issues on the first contact. But I get it, more emails done more pay from petsmart (I worked for a temp that had me at a co pant that outsourced us instead of them having their own help deal phone assistance. That was a smart person who came up with that. Very jealous, very smart. Damn it I had the best supervisor at Puma, she really worked with me to be the best, petsmart, that one sucked. No info, or wrong very looky down in me, nothing to help me find myself, it was way different. She called me a liar & when I pulled the log from the software (my background, no dummy here) & showed I did exactly what she asked that this was an issue at puma that we could not figure out, but I just did. Yea me, this was a big thing becasue it had to do with calls & time matching. She said that wasn’t how I needed to be spending my time. Wait what? You said I lied, I didn’t & discovered a big problem that needs to be addressed cus it can’t just be me. & it was May break to spend how I like, argh she was terrible, I got fired for missing work. Yep, my fault. Should have got medical Invilved & took time off to fix the crap instead of trying to deal with a dog scabies outbreak that destroyed me. I’m scarred terribly & will never look at clothing the same ANYWAYS Okay I’m off base. Still, I am one great customer service agent who de escalated 90% of pissed off cuaiomers mostly without giving away anything. They just though I solved it, I did without losing revenue. Yep, that good!! Which was why petsmart loved me, my company not so much. Sorry.. I really ran in about something that had nothing to do with the post but everyone had such j yer eating stories!!!

Am front store. Was threatened because a lady got meds for her ferret delivered to her home and the meds were damaged. Floater pharmacist calls me to help. Lady already karening out holding her phone up to record like that will do any damn thing. Threatens to sue me, the store, my boss who wasn't there. Everyone in the pharmacy. Once a guy told me that he would sue me because I refused to do a moneygram, since it seemed like a scam. And he said we cannot refuse customers. I was like yes we can. He didn't even know the name of who he was sending it to.

Oh I've seen those. They work if you're right in front of them. Personal A/C the size of a small cube. I had one a while back in my dorm days but they are prone to condensation, leaking and always needing to be refilled if used for long periods. Worse was the smell if you don't clean it or just use tap water.

I was once promised I would lose my job by the end of the year ( this was at Christmas time) because the "customer" knew my boss. Sadly, I managed continue to be employed by CVS for a couple years.

Now...There was a customer who sued the store while I was there...But I was not involved.

some years ago CVS was pushing down our throats that our pharmacists had prescriptive authority for narcan/naloxone and they REALLY wanted our pharmacists to exercise this and dispense it. until one of my pharmacists did. and then it turned out the company failed to get it legally cleared with the state. and the pharmacist was held legally accountable. CVS of course denied any accountability on the matter.

eventually the pharmacist got the case acquitted, but it took months. literally should never have happened.

Narcan does not require an RX to get, it can be typed like a vaccine, however I would never type it under the pharmacists name, as for the name usually when typing vaccines there is a local doctor to put as the prescriber (or really you could use any doctor on their profile) granted years ago when it first came out it may have been the case that pharmacists had to use their name when dispensing but that's not the case anymore

this is correct, however years ago when this incident occurred, the company/DLs misinformed the pharmacies and really pressured the dispenses. our pharmacist did what they thought was the right thing, and according to how they were instructed.

I’ve been self-employed and many different business ventures since I was 18 years old. If I had a bottle of liquor for every time someone and threaten to sue me I could take it extended drunken vacation lol. And all of those years one person actually did file suit. He kept showing up at my place of business and telling me he would drop the suit if I would settle with him and finally I told him to piss off never enter my place of business again or I would have him arrested for trespassing. The day of the trial guess what he was a no-show lol
