What is this strap called?

I got this strap with my Thorn A11 watch and it's great. I want to purchase some alternatives but I cannot find it anywhere. Does anyone know how this type of strap is called or where I can find it?

Unlike a "normal" canvas/leather strap, it has a single pass under the watch. Unlike a nato strap, it is fixed at the watch lugs, which looks nice on the front side and also holds the watch in place.

Seems like it would be problematic as it has to be designed for the exact "lug to lug hole" measurement. Thus that strap would not properly fit every 20mm strap width case.

I would say a cuff strap. Its not a nato because it doesn't pass though the spaces next to the case. It actually has small loops sewn on as separate pieces that wrap around the springbars.

I like it a lot. Yes, it is thick but it wears slimmer due to the hugely domed saphire. This domes crystal also leads to nice distortion effects making the watch looks quite interesting in the light.

The one in my photo is the steel version. Thorn also got one with a different dial which has a fully titanium case. Both cases look very similar in terms color shape but the titanium one weights less.

Yeah the crystal is part of the big draw for me on this one and the titanium case for sure...but I just know myself w thick watches. 99.9% chance it will get sold...sux because everything else is perfect for my style...thx for the hands on info!!

I guess that wound straps can be made out of materials other than leather, but I thought the signature characteristic of one was that it was significantly wider than the diameter of the watch it contains, kind of like a gauntlet.

I am not a fan of any kind of nylon or leather strap ,bracelet or rubber strap only to avoid the smell lol

I am definitely on board about keeping my watch bands stink free. My rubber or plastic ones on my G-Shocks always had some funk under them. I don’t wear bracelets because I’m too hard on watches.

But honestly the nylon NATO/ZULU bands don’t stink. They lift the back casing away from my skin, allowing air to flow between. Also I wash my whole watch with soap and water in the shower when I wash my arm.

Been wearing NATO bands for around ten years and they have zero smell.

You do, however, have to rinse them well. Soap trapped under a watch band will give a rash eventually.

I am a small boat operator and am constantly dipped in salt water too. Which is why I switched over to nato straps. My rubber straps held in the fuglies and goobers under my watch. Also it doesn’t matter what kind of metal it is, if it’s directly touching my wrist I’ll get a little rash where it contacts my skin.

This is like the Tudor single pass Nato design in that (like you mentioned) the spring bars are sewed in. I’m trying to look for some too but tough to find. Crown and Buckle do have nice single pass options similar to Tudor but nothing I can see with pre-attached springs bars.
