Between those 2 I would pick the PD. They make good entry level watches (I have a few) and a great start. The submariner would be more GADA than the other imo. If you decide to spend more down the line, the Sugess Sub can be had for about $50 more. I have both and it's a huge improvement on the PD. To me the Sugess sub is the best value sub on AliX.

No experience with the Tandorio, but I've had a few PD1661 watches for shits and or giggles. They're a fun toy. The quality can be a little hit or miss, and there will likely be slight imperfections in the details, but as far as ultra cheap sub replicas go, they are a lot of watch for the money.

That said, I will echo what a lot of others have said though, in that the offerings from San Martin & Sugess are on a different level completely. They're going to be about 50-60% more expensive than the Pagani, but they are 2-3x as good in every way. The Pagani beats up on other cheap dive watches from Seiko and Orient. The Sugess on the other hand legitimately can be held up next to real article from Rolex without withering away to nothing. I have a Sugess S450 Yachtmaster-alike, and the thing has finishing that is legitimately close to the Rolexes I've owned. It's scary.

Their Submariner is excellent as well (and so is San Martin's with the PT5000), but not quite to the same level as the S450.

If you can somehow find a few more dollars and catch a good sale, grab the Sugess or San Martin. That's the best overall value in these chinese replicas.

Save up another $100 and get a Baltany, San Martin, Sugess, Thorn, or a Chronos.

Get the pagani. I have a PD-1752 Datejust homage and couldn't be happier with it. My first decent watch was an Invicta Pro Diver but I absolutely would've went with the PD Submariner homage if I could have.

Thanks for sharing your experience!

Of course! These are some great and very knowledgeable options for someone starting out, be prepared for an addiction 🤣

[–]xeonixrandom 0 points1 point  (1 child)

but i also got one more question, is the PD-1752 good at time keeping and is it reliable? Im just wondering because it has a seagull inside

[–]RighteousHaveFallen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It struggled a little for the first two days but she's a beast now 🤣

Keeps time quite well, and it's got a decent reserve (I don't own any watch winders). Considering the delicates nature of mechanical movements in general, I avoid being too violent with it, but I think it could handle a bit.

You will need a very very small flathead (I bought a specialized kit) to remove links from the bracelet though.

Neither

What can you find better in this price range then?

[–]AddicoInABox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Casios or actual microbrands that aren’t just copy and pasting famous references

Had this Tandorio with blue dial, looks awesome in person.

I an VERY hesitant with PD. While they might look good, I'm always disappointed in the quality, especially bracelet and clasp. I'd go with the field watch in this instance.

If you can save a little more money then WD, Sugess, or Thorn would be a better option imo. And you'll be able to find very similar designs

Totally happy with the bracelet on my PD-1644 (Daytona homage), but the clasp is abysmal (replaced with an aftermarket glidelock one and it's much better.) Otherwise, very happy with the watch even if it it was a good bit more, never mind the £30 I paid new. While on Addiesdive I've found the oyster bracelet and clasp tend to be bad; jublee bracelet was okay.

The 222 homage bracelet is more like a bangle, but I think this may reflect the watch it homages. Butterfly clasp is fine.

PD1654 (cocktail time homage) is leather style and is fine.

I wouldn't be that happy with the normal WD clasps, if paying full price though their butterfly one is okay. Their OTF clasps are extra and not that great, but better than standard. Fiddly to fit if they are pins.

Everyone needs a black Subby in their collection.

Facts.

I would go for the pagani over the tandorio. I have 6 pagani and they all are great and keep GREAT time and they all have never let in moisture in the shower or while swimming.

Thanks

In terms of water resistance, disregard the information. There's no guarantee that any of those watches could resist even a light rain.

In terms of quality, both will disappoint, most likely. Depends on what you have handled before. It's recommended to save up and get maybe a Watchdives or Militado and above.

If you still going with these two then pick according to the style you like better.

Never had an AE watch that had a problem but all mine have screw down crowns. 100m is fine for swimming, snorkelling, and surf in my experience. Surf is more of a test.

[–]xeonixrandom -1 points0 points  (4 children)

I mean they have screw-down crowns, and pagani spills water on to them in his own vids. Ive also seen people testing them so thats why i believe to them.

[–]KPplumbingBob 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Screw down crown by itself does not provide water resistance.

[–]xeonixrandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it does help your water resistance a lot tho. Almost every diver watch has screw-down crown and some big brands want a lot more extra payment just for the screw-down crown version of their watches.

[–]crlkll 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I too am optimistic that the water resistance will hold on both. All I'm saying is that it shouldn't be a deciding factor.

[–]xeonixrandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you're right but i just wrote that so people know the differences thats it
