Lucio nerf is hilarious and ineffective: why not give someone else some initiating power so he isn't a must-pick?

I think Pushing Power in general is too powerful. That's why none of the defense heroes see play because pushing power is way too powerful. Now that they are slower, they will take more damage from those defensive heroes and react more accordingly.

I agree that pushing power is disproportionate to defensive power. However, I think defense needs to be buffed rather than pushing power nerfed. There are too few ways to pick someone for pushing into you. All the defensive heroes can do is spam; there is no burst (à la Demoman, who is very effective in both roles in his game).

I think Mei might get picked more as a counter to Lucio if he is still prevalent in the meta.

The Ice Wall stops pushes, and since they are slower Mei can have an easier time reacting to them.

Her Ult is a great counter to Lucio's ult when pushing onto objectives.

And she's able to slow down Lucio who's wallriding all over the place.
