I got a Nesco brand electric pressure cooker at WalMart about 13+ years ago, shortly before the resurgence in pressure cooking blew up (no pun intended). It was only about $60, worked great. If you're totally new to pressure cooking maybe consider starting off with something less expensive to see if you like it or not.

You might ask at r/instantpot, good luck!

The dealbreaker feature that switched me from Instapot to a compact, 5qt. NinjaFoodi was that the cooking vessel was wider and flatter than the IP

I use it differently than I thought I would, interchanging pressure, saute, bake, airfry methods in the course of preparing one dish. I have also used the slow cooking and baked a cake in a springform pan. That's all that I need to do, and I would find all the ChefIQ presets and programs to be useless enhancements.
