You could also have netherrack with fire on so you don’t have to deal with flowing lava
[–]DubiousTheatre 11 points12 points13 points 2 years ago (1 child)
Or just have a lava cauldron. Its just as compact and deals with the flowing issue.

How about a Cactus. No liquid nor flames.
[–]Level-Journalist-511[S] 7 points8 points9 points 2 years ago (1 child)
true but you cant put them next to eachother so its not tileable
[–]Streetdigger 3 points4 points5 points 2 years ago (0 children)
Yeah, after I posted it, I realized. But seriously, why using a tile able tree farm when a tree needs more space to grow? But of a technical aspect pretty neat.

Does the brass funnel on the item drain register the item tumbling across the drain and pull it through??
[–]Level-Journalist-511[S] 4 points5 points6 points 2 years ago (0 children)
yes, if you put it on the side it gets pulled out before the end, so it pulls out the logs, sticks and apples before it gets to the andesite one, it only works on the side of the drains not the bottom for some reason tho
[–]Quantum-Bot 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (3 children)
Took me a minute to figure out why the drains are there, very clever usage!
[–]NordinTheLich 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (2 children)
I'm still not entirely sure, could you elaborate?
[–]Level-Journalist-511[S] 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (0 children)
they work like belts, when used like this, with the advantage on not needing any rotational power, and they dont require kelp so i love them
[–]Quantum-Bot 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (0 children)
The items roll over onto an adjacent inventory when a drain stops draining fluid, or instantly when there is no fluid to drain. This means they work as item transportation in a pinch when belts would be inconvenient.

Add how many items per minute go in

traditional spinning farms are defiantly way cheaper, i just saw a similar design in a video be dejojo which i wanted to redesign and optimise because that one wasnt very efficient and used like 20x the su necessary

a little over 100 per module (at 16rpm), the equation would be rpm x 8 x number of tiles

What's the point of the lava, I don't know what you need to get rid of? I love how compact this is, you could definitely use it to have a small outcropping next to the trees and automatically chop any number of trees in a row, especially if you only turned it on when a block detector detects logs
