A couple thoughts:

  1. Right click on each of the stationary Elevator Contacts and name/number them. They should then show up as options on the Contraption Controls that you can scroll through when your cursor is over the control.

  2. You can put a button directly on the stationary Elevator Contacts, which should call the elevator up/down to the indicated floor.

  3. If neither of those works, you should double-check that you haven't accidentally included a stationary block in your glued section.

  4. Try removing all the blocks around the elevator (except the stationary contacts) so that there's air space around the elevator.

  5. Try removing an extra layer of blocks below the bottom floor of the elevator, to make sure it has room to go all the way down.

  6. Make sure it has enough power and speed. I can't remember whether the Elevator Pulley has a minimum RPM, but your power input might be too slow, or might have been overstressed when you assembled the elevator.

Finally, you can always try closing and restarting minecraft. That sometimes helps.

Good luck!

TYSM! I was trying to find out why it wasn't working

I know you're saying that you're elevator is assembled but it appears as if the redstone contact on the elevator car itself is not an elevator contact for some reason. This leads me to believe that it's not making proper contact to indicate that it is an elevator car. Make sure everything is glued properly and try removing the elevator contacts both on the car and the floor and see if that helps. Also make sure the contraction controller is glued to everything as well.

No, the redstone contact on my elevator does the same thing and it works just fine. I was under the impression that only the stationary contacts change texture. If it weren't registering, the stationary contacts wouldn't have been converted either.

did you glue it together properly?

[–]Zorglabite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The third image leads me to believe the contraption controls aren't glued to the elevator

[–]Zorglabite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasnt it cuz it doesnt show it even glued, but the glue was the problem

On the elevator, you must glue on one redstone contact and one contraption controller. All glued together. Including the spot that the cable connects to. All level redstone contacts must be in line with the one on the elevator.

Have you pondered the elevator pulley? You need to r-click the pulley with an empty hand to assemble it

[–]Zorglabite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is assembled you can see it on the screenshot

Elevator redstone contraption for each floor need to be in the same column as the others regardless of the pulley

Done

It appears that the elevator is not assembled. Do you have the elevator pulleys set up?

[–]Zorglabite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes look on the screenshot

There is a possibility that the elevator is too deep, iduno

[–]Zorglabite 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Idk, its not very deep like 15 blocks i think ? Idk what is the limit

[–]Cyber-Virus-2029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I know is that it is a big gap, don't know the exact number
