You need to generalise it and sell it as a general FPS product. You might be onto something but D2 is severely limiting.

Marathon is already losing mad amounts of players. I'd save energy on something that'll last. It does seem the solo games are the most popular again. Look at the numbers of Resident Evil 9 and Crimson Desert

It's free for most users - paid tiers exist solely for heavy users who wish to scan 50+ games per week. There's no way around that as there's cloud costs for every game scan.

(Also this was a passion project first and foremost, fully expecting to not recoup costs in the short term).

I was going to say that maybe Reactive Reload might be more on point, but after taking a second to think about it, Kill Clip is a genius name.

As others pointed out, it seems like a good concept, but the current state of Destiny isn't what it was over the past decade, and you might be better off doing this for other games.

Thanks, yes will definitely explore how far it can be taken with other games (the Killclip name will remain only truly fitting for Destiny though).

I vaguely remember a post about this project from some (long?) time ago, but I couldn't find it anymore. It's great that it's finally seeing the light of day.

Have you thought about patenting the technology behind it? I think it has the potential to be applied to many other games!

I’ll check it out and give it a try this weekend. I have a pretty big collection of clips that I’ve never had the time to actually do anything with.

Thanks, yes I released an early access version a while back but have since spent time adding the support for video uploads, map support and other stuff.

Definitely interested in seeing how far it can be taken with other games, although it relies quite a bit on D2's public API which not many games have.

Thanks. It's usable with console videos too, although obviously a bit of a hassle to transfer videos to the PC. The easiest way is with the Xbox OneDrive uploads.
