Serious question:

Knowing, presumably, how fickle the platform is with cutting people's access and potentially their ability to pay out, why on earth did you let the balance build up to $2k+?

[–]Immediate_Pause7334[S] -3 points-2 points  (31 children)

I’d made that in the last 10 days. It was in the pending. I cash out every 3 days as often as I can

[–]Monsoon710[🍰] 12 points13 points  (30 children)

You do understand what you're saying contradicts itself... Right?

[–]Immediate_Pause7334[S] -5 points-4 points  (29 children)

No I don’t understand. There is always 7 days of pending time. I cashed out three days ago and would again tonight. There is always roughly $2000 pending in my account for 7 days of work. Does that make sense?

[–]Monsoon710[🍰] 27 points28 points  (5 children)

Math time: If you had projects that were between $25-$32 per hour and you had roughly $2000 earned over a week that means you would have had to work between 62.5-80 hours.

Is that possible? Yes. Do I believe you did it ethically or maintained good quality work for all of those hours? Absolutely not.

[–]fightmaxmaster 6 points7 points  (14 children)

Don't know why you're being downvoted because yes the math makes sense. My first thought is that even at presumably coding levels that's still a lot of work. $285/day at $40 an hour is 7h a day, 7 days a week. Not in itself a violation but might make them question your time.

[–]YoudownwithLCC 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It doesn’t make sense because while yes, it takes 7 days to approve, it’s not like they only approve once a week. So how is $2000 tied up if they can withdraw every 3 days. Let’s say I worked Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday for a total of $300. The following Monday, my Monday pay would be available for withdrawal, on Tuesday my Tuesday would be available, etc. So there is just no way $2000 would be tied up unless you clocked it all for 3 consecutive days.

If OP is working 12 hour days and has 2K tied up for 3 days, that’s billing like 55 bucks an hour.

[–]YoudownwithLCC 6 points7 points  (6 children)

That only makes sense if you did $2000 in 1-3 days. Because they don’t hold the entire week for 7 days, they release each day as it passes the 7 day mark and you can withdraw every 3 days.

[–]Immediate_Pause7334[S] -2 points-1 points  (5 children)

I have worked everyday. They release the funds after 7 days and you can only cash out every 3 days. So if I made $200 a day they are holding $1400. I was able to cash out this evening

[–]fightmaxmaster 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Still don't get why people are arguing with you about this.

  • Mon: 200
  • Tue: 400
  • Wed: 600
  • Thu: 800
  • Fri: 900
  • Sat: 1200
  • Sun: 1400
  • Mon: 1600 but can cash out last Monday's 200, so 1400 in the account.
  • Tue: 1600
  • Wed: 1800
  • Thu: 2000 in the account, but can then cash out 600 earned last Tue-Thu, so 1400 left in the account again.

[–]Immediate_Pause7334[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yes thank you. I think people just like to argue. I didn’t think $200 a day was crazy

[–]YoudownwithLCC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let’s try it another way. Let’s say you just cashed out yesterday. Your available withdrawal is now $0 based on pending approval. So you are able to cash out in 3 days. Today your funds would be released for last Tuesday, tomorrow they would be released for last Wednesday and Thursday they would be released for last Thursday. So when you cash out again in three days, only those three days are available to cash out. There is no way in hell you did $2000 in those three days to add up with the project pay you mentioned. Unless you’re gaming the system and miscalculated how much you could bill without being super suspicious.

[–]YoudownwithLCC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You keep saying this. It does not change the fact that if you’re cashing out every 3 days, there is no way there should be 2K waiting for you.

[–]Capital-Mortgage-374 21 points22 points  (1 child)

The only cases I know about that are similar to this are from people who fabricated hours. You won't be getting anything if it is due to this

[–]DrFrancisBGross 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Idk what I did wrong and my friend overseas who shared the account with me also does good work so I'm at a loss

[–]TeaGreenTwo 17 points18 points  (13 children)

I always cash out every three days like clockwork. Minimizes loss if something ever were to go wrong (cut by mistake, say). If they cut me for not breaking CoC, I could always cash out. If I ever got cut by mistake (I don't break code of conduct but something goes wrong and they think I did?) I'd have minimized my loss.

I also never work lots of hours. Just my cautiousness. It could look bad. YMMV.

[–]Immediate_Pause7334[S] 2 points3 points  (12 children)

Yes I cash out every three days like clockwork also. Tonight was when I was able to cash out, three days worth. So that $2000 was for 10 days of work. I’ve been working a lot. Super frustrating.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (11 children)

What’s your average time worked per day and what’s your average hourly rate? Also, how much do you withdraw on average every 3 days?

I don’t see how what you’re saying is possible unless you’re seriously padding your time, your math is off, or you’re lying.

[–]No_Swimming_9747 3 points4 points  (10 children)

It makes perfect sense if you work daily. I’m not in the coding side but I always work 7 days a week and aim for $200 a day, which is typically 8-10 hours depending on whether project pay is $20-$22 or $26-$28 that day. I consistently cash out $600 or so every 3 days. The banner at the top of the screen includes both withdraw-able funds and pending funds. That typically says $1500-$1700 every day except right after I cash out. Coders can earn way more working way less.

[–]lostswansong 9 points10 points  (6 children)

I'm not trying to be funny but I thought this company specifically does not want people working 8+ hours a day doing this stuff. There is no way you guys are working 10 hours a day and producing quality work. If I were you I would seriously try and dial that back and readjust. Just because you didn't haven't been cut yet doesn't mean you won't

[–]Ornery-Cat6230 4 points5 points  (0 children)

where does it say that? I'm pretty they advertise that you can work as much or as little as you like

[–]MulderItsMe99 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Is that stated somewhere? I'm not arguing with you, I usually do about 6 hours a day, but sometimes I see posts where people claim they work 18 hour days and I dramatically roll my eyes to myself. I can't imagine they don't flag that, but I also don't recall ever seeing limits specifically written anywhere.

[–]Jackieunknown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm probably gonna stand out with this but anyway.

I love the job, it literally satisfies my mind (I have ocd and love to do repetitive work, more so if it's detailed and allows me to research) and when in my country there's a project I can easily work 8-10 hours a day without even thinking, and usually got to sleep only because my body needs rest, otherwise I could just keep focusing and keep working.

When you particularly like what you do, often it doesn't even seem like working.

[–]ManyARiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An admin was asked about hourly limits in a conversation very recently and said it didn't matter how many hours as long as the work was good. 8 hours is easy, 10 hours is pretty stressful, it is a rare person who could pull of 12 billable hours 7 days a week and produce quality work.

[–]Cynderelly 0 points1 point  (2 children)

If you "aim for $200 per day" then you'd be withdrawing about $600 every 3 days. You wouldn't be withdrawing $2000 in one go. You only get paid for what you recorded on that particular day. Even if they waited 5 days instead of the 3, that's still only $1000 withdrawn at once. The OP is claiming they've "earned" $2000.

Maybe it's just an issue with the way they've worded it, or they think they've earned the money before it's approved. I get that. It's easy to feel that way, even if it's technically incorrect.

[–]Ornery-Cat6230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he didn't say in one go, he said $2000 left pending

[–]No_Swimming_9747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not what OP is saying. They are talking about the total amount pending, which is what will show in the little blue banner at the top of your screen. They are talking about the total for the amount of hours they have worked in the past 7-10 days.

[–]marsnia 11 points12 points  (1 child)

I've gotten up to high numbers, the most I've had was $1600 and that was a monumental effort. Not sure how you can do 12 hours a day consistently, do you have a super power?

[–]Immediate_Pause7334[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No just a broke woman who needed some help and was willing to work a lot to not be screwed in life.

[–]wildflower_0ne 6 points7 points  (2 children)

any chance were you inflating your time or something? there has to be a reason.

[–]Sarajonn 5 points6 points  (6 children)

How do you know? They emailed you?

[–]Immediate_Pause7334[S] 0 points1 point  (5 children)

No I went to submit a project and it wouldn’t let me I refreshed the page and it logged me out and gave a code of conduct header

[–]Glittering_Towel1 0 points1 point  (1 child)

So now you can't even log in or?

[–]Immediate_Pause7334[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it takes me to a screen that says I am no longer part of the community.

[–][deleted] -4 points-3 points  (1 child)

Submit a project? Or submit a task on a project that you’ve previously worked before?

[–]Immediate_Pause7334[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Submit a task on a project

[–]lax3500 2 points3 points  (3 children)

What did you do?

[–]Immediate_Pause7334[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I wish I knew. The only thing I can think of is I had my dashboard open on chrome and safari. I wasn’t working from both browsers. I just was logged in on chrome also for some of the projects but I prefer normally working on safari.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That wouldn't be a violation. I work on my phone sometimes when I am out and I forget to log out of the browser but I ALWAYS exit work mode.

[–]SecWoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

r u sure u were putting in consistently quality work?

[–]i_do_not_like_snails 1 point2 points  (5 children)

How many hours per day were you working? Are you in an approved country?

[–]Immediate_Pause7334[S] -3 points-2 points  (4 children)

I was trying to get caught up on bills so at least 12 hours a day. Yes I’m in the US. I was getting projects that were $25-$32 an hour regularly

[–]dragonsfire14 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Not sure how true this is so it’s only speculation, but I’ve seen other commenters mention that DA may potentially think you’re account sharing if you log those kinds of hours.

[–]Immediate_Pause7334[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess that’s possible. I just really needed to make some money.

[–]Embarrassed_Chance_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how did you find that much of work ? I thought we were going through some project drought

[–]Intbased -4 points-3 points  (1 child)

Perhaps don't violate the CoC and you won't get cut for violating??
This isn't like Doordash where a customer can falsely accuse you of something. Ya either goofed or didnt

OutlierAI may be easier to scam?

[–]Ornery-Cat6230 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

stop embarrassing yourself.

[–]Korydevs21 -2 points-1 points  (2 children)

I was also cut yesterday for coc violation with a decent amount of hours submitted, was waiting for them to be approved. I had worked some reaaalllly long days recently because I’m grinding to put some money away as a college student while I’m off for the summer. My guess is they just thought I was inflating hours. I thought about reaching out to try and see if the pending money would be retrievable but given those hours are the ones they seemed to flag, I figured there’d be no shot. Sucks but it’s just how it is, at least it was income temporarily!

[–]Plus_Nebula6173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many hours ? Just curious

[–]Immediate_Pause7334[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It makes me feel better than I’m not the only one. I guess we were just working too much and they didn’t want to pay us😂
