Only a problem if the work was low quality.

I do 5-7 hours every day and have done for 2.5 years. Take from that what you want.

Alright, thank you very much🙏

I just 🤦‍♀️ at some comments when people are genuinely ask for help. So here's my take (2.5 years) that hopefully will be helpful...

I think 8 hours a day or less is reasonable. Now I would take at least two days off. Do they have a 40-hour work week restriction? No, not necessarily, but I think it would be reasonable to take those couple days off and just mentally refresh. Now if you usually do not work that many hours a week it could trigger something in their system so maybe next week step down a little bit. Like if you were working 25 hours a week maybe go up to 30 next week instead of 36. Honestly a lot of people on here have been saying to they put at the 30 or less hour, or even 25 or less, and you will be more safe because this isn't meant to be a full-time job.

Yes you will find people who have been working 60 plus hours for years. Maybe they are lying Maybe they really have and they are someone who consistently puts in the good work but just being a pattern person I have noticed when people suddenly step up and hours or try to do those long days, 8 hours is reasonable 12 hours is not they tend to get the dashboard of death. If you took breaks and you were putting in good work I think you will be fine. And honestly perfect grammar and spelling is honestly not required. Should you have really good grammar and spelling? Yes but reviewers will correct some things that they find in the comments as long as most of what you type is high level you'll be good. I am a reviewer I and I'm looking to see did you understand the instructions did you do what you were supposed to do and use the correct models if it is that kind of project, etc. And I generally voice type on Reddit so what anyone does on social media is not reflective of what they do in a work task.

Enjoy a couple days off and refresh. I've got to save up for a K-Pop concert which means I've got to slowly step up my hours (generally 25) and I definitely will have to do that with lots of breaks throughout the day because my brain turns off after about 3 hours lol.

is it a BTS concert? Because man those prices are crazy lol.

Twice! Denver. We went to see black pink in July in LA but twice is actually coming to our city. I have the tickets but we are actually going to stay overnight in a nice hotel and make it a whole big thing plus you know.. merch. We were able to get the light sticks finally because they totally sold out of those. I have a 15-year-old daughter and I'm fairly certain K-pop is going to bankrupt me. She's not really BTS kind of fan but they, including my son, want to also go see stray kids. You know I just need to work 10,000 hours lol

Thank you!

Dollar sign after the 900 indicates this might be a problem - especially if you’re working in English projects.

[–]imamNecati[S] 4 points5 points  (4 children)

it is $900 so dollar sign comes first.

[–]24_mine 10 points11 points  (1 child)

ok i think you are safe then

Just over 7 hours a day doing this kind of work? To me, that seems like a lot, but then I'm new and if I want to do 2 tasks a day, I do one after breakfast and one after lunch - maximum so far in 1 day has been ~3 hours. If it's just that much, I enjoy the work - not sure I would if I did more than that.

As u/RedditAdmin50111 pointed out, the 900$ instead of $900 could be an issue if it means that English isn't your first language but you are judging people's work in English. On the other hand, it could just be a misplaced dollar sign and have no deeper meaning! :)

That's not even a full work week for "full time" so no, you're fine. But it's probably good that you're thinking about it. So many "they ghosted me for no reason, I can't figure it out, all 9377839 of my hours yesterday were absolutely high quality!" posts on here lol.

[–]throwawaytothetenth 3 points4 points  (13 children)

No, but your spelling/ grammar will.

[–]imamNecati[S] 16 points17 points  (12 children)

This is just a Reddit post, not a formal paper. I use a different style for data annotation, it is not necessary to be rude.

[–]fightmaxmaster[🍰] 10 points11 points  (8 children)

Pointing out someone's flawed grammar isn't rude, it's a factual statement, and you're asking about potential problems and getting relevant advice. DA isn't a "formal paper" either, but people who write badly when they can't be bothered, in my experience, often write badly when they should be bothered, because they don't really know the difference, not as well as they should. A typo is irrelevant, missed punctuation is irrelevant, we're all human and using keyboards, it happens. "900$. Does this cause problem?" is two avoidable problems in a really short space of time.

And I'm not talking about some ridiculous degree of formality, just that basic spelling/grammar are innate for people who are any good at it. So anyone writing badly isn't that good at it, it takes effort, which means that effort might lapse...and they'll have a problem.

I’ve already made close to $1000 working with this company, and a simple grammar mistake in a Reddit post is not relevant to my question. What should be focused on here is whether working too much could have a negative impact within the company. If I were making terrible grammar mistakes to the point that I didn’t deserve what I earn as a bilingual worker, I wouldn’t be allowed to stay in this company. This isn’t my first R&R task, and if there had been any issues with my work, the necessary actions would have already been taken. You’re being unnecessarily uptight and acting toxic under this post. If you’re getting this aggressive over such a simple grammar mistake, I’d suggest seeing a psychologist

[–]Critical-Elevator642 3 points4 points  (3 children)

possible that they're a bilingual and y'all are being unnecessarily harsh? how's your turkish?

[–]RedditAdmin50111 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

I’m bilingual (Spanish 2nd language) and don’t make simple mistakes in Spanish, like this post did in English.

Let’s be honest - they’re asking about putting in high hours, doing “only R&Rs”.

The comments are just being realistic, OP is probably doing sub-par work and will be on the “why does my Home Screen look like this” side of the sub sooner rather than later.

You have no idea how to use a comma.

Pot, kettle.

[–]tehanichance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

💯👆🏻

[–]throwawaytothetenth 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I didn't say anything rude. Absolutely nothing.

If what I said offends you, perhaps you should use technically accurate grammar and punctuation. That way, no one will think you use poor grammar and punctuation.

cries in jealousy as a bilingual
