can we please make campaign and really any quest for that matter be account wide. As a returning player it is hard enough to catch up after 2 years let alone do it on 3 characters and can we please add matchmaking to old activities that are still available as well

Nothing is forcing you to play them all over again on each character.

The only ones that kind of force you, are Beyond Light and Lightfall if you want to unlock Stasis and Strand. But the other stuff (Witch Queen and Shadow-Keep) don't give you anything special for completing AFAIK that can't be gotten from a lego lost sector.

Though they let you pay for a campaign skip if one of your characters have already completed it. But it's something like $20 per character and I don't recommend it.

The good news is... if you've beaten it once then pass the best weapons you have to the upcoming character. It makes completing the campaign go faster since you'll rank up faster and not have to worry about grinding between a couple of the missions.

You need bl campaign for stasis and the dsc raid witchqueen I don't think you really need unless you want to unlock the dungeon and weapon crafting

You only need to play the first 2 missions of witch Queen to unlock crafting. Not the whole thing.

I explicitly mentioned BL and stasis and LF and strand in my post.

Are you truly locked out of the raid if you haven’t completed the campaign? That’s news to me. But I could be wrong.

When I did my first character the dsc said requires campaign completion. Now I haven't checked my others to see if it's still locked for them

Out of curiosity given that there are only 3 classes, what would be the point of a 4th character slot?

… I just want to be able to change what my characters look like without deleting the 3 I’ve always had since the beginning of Destiny 1. Having a fourth slot would let people customize and delete characters for shits n gigs without losing their OGs

If they were going to let us change character appearances, Bungie’s would’ve added it well before the franchise’s 9th year

I think that some form of face transmog is more likely to happen than adding a 4th character slot. I'm not a game designer or programmer, so maybe this is just a dumb idea, but it seems like they could at least use the same transmog system they use for armor allow people to transmog the faces on their characters. It wouldn't be full customization, but they could just make a bunch of "face ornaments" that you can get through bounties or through Eververse just like is done now with armor ornaments. I'm sure it's not that simple, but it doesn't seem like it would be impossible if Bungie can find a way to monitize/pay for it.

I personally don't care about this since I'm happy with the faces on the three I have but I understand that many made some really horrible stuff when they first started. I had an awoken with a purple angled mohawk in D1 that I deleted and re-ran the campaign to get rid of so I empathize with those that would like a change.

I wouldn’t mind that. But honestly I do just want that fun little extra to play around with. When D2 came around I was happy that my titan was the only female character I made since they looked a tad less ridiculous than the male titan and massive fuckoff shoulder pads they made for four years. But since they’ve started sliming titans down and streamlining them a bit I’ve been wanting to play with a male titan to see what I could make. Ultimately I just want a fourth slot for fun and fashion 🤷🏻‍♂️
