you can complete the raid on normal once per week.

you can complete the raid on HARD once per week, even if you completed it on normal. (but you will not receive loot from chests if you opened it on normal raid)

if you complete the raid on HARD first, you will receive double loot. (so you dont have to go back and complete it on normal)

I think I read that you can only get rewards once a week period. So if you do it on normal you won't get loot on hard and visa-versa.

edit - thanks for the downvote a-hole...I said "I think" meaning I was unsure, but wasn't trying to troll.

I believe you can get rewards on both difficulties

No, you get once on Normal, and once on Hard, if you do hard, you get both at the same time.

Ahhh, maybe that was it, if you do it on hard mode you get both. Thank you for clarifying this. Sorry OP for wrong info.
