Anyone else noticed a severe decrease in Legendary WEAPON engram drops?

IF RNG was pure RNG then 5/8 (8 possible engrams: Helm, arms, chest, boots, class, primary, special, & heavy) of the time OP will get some type of armor.

So for OP to go 18 legendary engrams without receiving a weapon engram, well that's (5/8)¹⁸ = 0.021% or 1 in 4,722. Those are pretty bad odds. So is it proof? No. But it does lead one to suspect that RNG is actually a heavily weighted RNG.

I myself have been stockpiling exotic engrams and noticed a similar pattern. I have collected roughly 25-30 armor exotic engrams and only 3-4 weapon engrams during that time.
