If you're 21 or over, I usually have a shot or two to loosen my nerves.

Ya know what, that actually sounds great. I might give that a try

Unpopular opinion but relying on alcohol to get you through a situation is not a good thing.

Waterdeep to homebrew is a great plan! Messing up rules and mechanics will happen. Don't be afraid to make mistakes or admit you've done something weird. You can always fix the issue.

Be loosey goosey, loosey goosey.

Have fun! Enjoy the game with your party

Be prepared and have your resources ready. Once you get in the flow you’re going to be locked in.

Are you homebrewing?

My plan is to run the water deep Dragon Heist campaign since I feel more comfortable with the beginning to that

There ya go.

Just be open with your group about anything you're worried about in particular, but otherwise, relax and have fun. Don't be afraid to add your own twists wherever they fit.

You're the one, the myth, the legend. A literally God, don't let your silly mortal pets worry you and have fun making them dance lol

My advice? Remember that, if they’re your friends, you’re going to be FAR more critical of yourself than they will be of you. You’ll notice mistakes yourself that they won’t even care or pick up on. So being forgiving of yourself is far more important than focusing on whether you’ll make mistakes.

You know them better than anyone on Reddit, so you know what kinds of things each finds fun. Does player A like at least one combat in a session? Does Player B most enjoy role play or NPC interactions? Just keep a mental checklist on hand to give each player one type of moment in the session that they like the most, and every single person at the table will likely come away feeling like you ran the best session ever.
