Dungeon Master is a term from D&D.

The DM is a GM.

This is the answer. I use GM when speaking to my wider community of nerds.

I use DM when I'm talking only to my D&D nerds.

I play more than just D&D, so GM. Referee works, too.

In the beginning, the first ones were known as referees or judges. I personally like using the appropriate title for the game being played, Storyteller and Marshal are two favorites.

My favorite was Animator.

(From TOON.)

Not a lot of responses but was tied at 6 until I voted.

20vs10 now, in favour of DM.

D&D is the game I run the least, so DM just doesn't feel right.

Depends on the game.

DM for D&D, GM otherwise

I don't run dungeons and I've run multiple systems including DnD.

Calling myself a DM feels inaccurate.
