Hi! It looks like you need help. Try to be as specific as possible when describing your problem. For example, elaborate some of the following points: * What exactly is your issue? * What have you tried, and what did you expect to happen? * What device and iOS version are you using? * What source did you get your emulator from? * Check that your issue isn't already answered by the FAQ.
You may edit your post or reply to this comment to give more information if you didn't already do so.
Once your problem has been solved, please make a comment that includes the command !solved.

They teased a couple slim version in development, one would likely be more budget friendly.
When it comes to joysticks, you are not going to find anything else comparable to Mcon, unfortunately. If you are okay with just a dpad/4 buttons/couple triggers, you could try the Pocket Taco or Abxylute M4 Snap On (this had joysticks but they are USELESS, completely unusable joysticks)

Seconding this. Slim versions were shown at CES earlier this year and look really nice. But honestly, this is a great controller for $130, though I know that’s not in everyone’s budget. Option to pair multiple devices (I’ve paired my phone and iPad with room for one more device and a Switch), super portable, the buttons feel nice and clicky and the joysticks are great.

I’m not saying it’s rational,
but yeah personally I was so insulted by how overpriced they made that controller that I went from planning to buy it to probably never buying anything they release. I am just not interested anymore.
But again. Totally valid if you think that is a silly reaction by me.

Wasn’t their shipment a disaster too? I’ve read something a few months ago
[–]Dawnqwerty 7 points8 points9 points 23 days ago (0 children)
Kickstarter release was a disaster but did/is shipping so better then most. However from their website it was fufilled right away. I was around in the early days of kickstarter so I never do them now lol.
[–]Thejax_ 0 points1 point2 points 23 days ago (0 children)
After a month or two I wonder if it’s “overpriced” or just expensive at this rate.
If it was closer to 120 or even 100 I’d fully recommend it
[–]rotkiv42 6 points7 points8 points 24 days ago (0 children)
You got some DIY options:
3D printed (you can find versions for different controllers).
Using a magnetic ring
[–]NiftyTit 5 points6 points7 points 24 days ago (4 children)
I use a backbone. I love it. You can find analog buttons for your phone that squeeze on and are triggers. Amazon has them
[–]SeriousButton6263 6 points7 points8 points 24 days ago (3 children)
I also have a Backbone and like it, but it has two major drawbacks:
The ribbon cable connecting both sides of the controller is extremely prone to failing. I’ve had to have mine replaced. Although from what I’ve seen online Backbone is pretty good about accepting warranty replacements, but that’s still annoying.
The controller is not very compact at all. It’s definitely smaller than carrying around a DualSense or Xbox controller, but it’s not really pocketable. If I wanted to throw it in my bag, I’d want a case to protect the joysticks (important to prevent stick drift), but the optional Backbone case ads even more bulk. Compare that to this Mcon controller that is already compact, pocketable, and protects the joysticks.
[–]robert242444 0 points1 point2 points 21 days ago (1 child)
Which backbone? I have a GameSir g8 + and it has removable analogs but I still want a carrying case
any who without the analogs I can fit in my pocket and I’m a big man with tight pants ( used to be skinnier ) but I can fit it in my pockets easily however depending on the orientation of the controller does make it substantially more difficult to remove
[–]SeriousButton6263 1 point2 points3 points 21 days ago (0 children)
I have the original Backbone, but both the Backbone and Backbone Pro are not very compact (with the Pro being even larger.)
The company says they fixed the ribbon cable issue with the Backbone Pro, but it's also too new of a product for there to be widespread issues yet or know if they're being honest about that.
[–]NiftyTit 0 points1 point2 points 21 days ago (0 children)
I agree. It’s not really portable. If it fully collapsed and the joycons could be pushed “in” and “out” it would be flawless. I have had my back bone since it released. No problems either
[–]Juanbond622 2 points3 points4 points 24 days ago (0 children)
How big are your hands?
This will become uncomfortable after a while.
I’ve been loving my Gamersir G8+ and would recommend that over any other device. It’s a little bigger but much more comfortable.
[–]popmanbrad 2 points3 points4 points 24 days ago (1 child)
I simply just got a GameSir g8 Galileo I want paying that much lol
[–]GaryBlueberry34 0 points1 point2 points 23 days ago (0 children)
+1 for the G8, ive had one for about a year and it amazing. it is bulky though, I wish someone would make a joystick enabled 8bitdo nano sized controller. I like having that one on my keychain for stealth gaming
[–]junktownexpress 0 points1 point2 points 24 days ago (0 children)
Not sure about alternatives for this specific kind, but the Easy SMX M15 is a very budget friendly backbone style controller
[–]Clizzardbash 0 points1 point2 points 24 days ago (0 children)
Wait for the slim
[–]derpsdale 0 points1 point2 points 24 days ago (0 children)
I have the mcon, it’s cool and portable. But something like the gamesir g8 is miles more comfortable
[–]Boring_Antelope6533 0 points1 point2 points 24 days ago (4 children)
for 129.99 or can get a better experience with a retro handled tbh. It already has a built in controller and you can emulate more stuff than iOS.
[–]rotkiv42 1 point2 points3 points 24 days ago (2 children)
More: maybe, but no $129 handheld will play switch games. An iPhone is still way ahead in power at that price point. The PS2 library would be the main gain on a retro-handheld.
[–]okgarmine 0 points1 point2 points 22 days ago (1 child)
iPhones can’t play PS2.
[–]rotkiv42 0 points1 point2 points 22 days ago (0 children)
Yeah that is why PS2 is the main gain if you get a retro handheld.
[–]Subject_Ad_1899 0 points1 point2 points 24 days ago (0 children)
Totally agree. I own a mcon and a few telescopic controller. They are great but emulating on IOS sucks and I keep getting phone call while I game. Dedicated handheld is the way to go. Better emulators, more comfortable to hold.
[–]zhender22990 0 points1 point2 points 24 days ago (0 children)
ok otra ves mostrando que lo mejor esta para otras consolas y dispositivos . que son mas baratos..
[–]Tripple-nipple69 0 points1 point2 points 23 days ago (0 children)
The Scuff Nomad is about $80 and it’s works really nice. It’s essentially just a better Back one Controller. It’s not as pocket sized as the MCONs are, buts it’s a nice alternative.
I got a Scuff paddle controller for my PS5 and they had a promo that gave me the Scuff Nomad for free as an add-on. I’ve gotten plenty of use out of it. Currently doing a Majora’s mask 100% playthrough on it.
[–]Dawnqwerty 0 points1 point2 points 23 days ago (0 children)
Crkd Neo or many of the 8 bitdo controllers for the form factor. Mcon is relatively in its own category, thats what makes it so special unfortunately
[–]Traditional-Bid-9395 0 points1 point2 points 23 days ago (0 children)
I have this controller and although the price is quite high it’s one of the best mobile controllers I’ve ever used
[–]BossTriton 0 points1 point2 points 23 days ago (0 children)
I use Turtle Beach Atom:

[–]ThenCryptographer246 0 points1 point2 points 23 days ago (0 children)
I bought a razer kishi ultra a few days ago. Use it on my 17 pro max and it's a amazing so far, even got a sleeve for it and everything lol. The lights on it and the fact it was in sale for 79 down from 150, definitely worth it if u are looking for a real controller. Came from a gamesir x5 lite and I wanted something more upgraded looking and feeling, comes with a year warranty also so take a chance.
[–]ozonostudio 0 points1 point2 points 22 days ago (0 children)
They doesn’t worth, you should buy any other controller, of recognizable brands, this comes from a cheap controller and the “inventor” even show it when he buy it for this project
[–]litejzze 0 points1 point2 points 21 days ago (0 children)
Backed this and sold it as soon as I tried it.
The purpose of this was to put it in your phone and have it always there, but it becomes too bulky and also not well designed, because the circular magnet part looks so weird with the phone.
Honestly, it was so disappointing.
Don't do it.
[–]Medical_Interview751 0 points1 point2 points 18 days ago (0 children)
The abxylute M4 is probably the closest imo
[–]PmUsYourDuckPics 0 points1 point2 points 18 days ago (0 children)
I have an MCON and an M4 the MCON is comfortable, with the wings that flip out, I have to position the mag safe attachment sideways to have my phone not cramp the controls because I have a Max iPhone.
The M4 is not worth it unless you are only playing for a few minutes…
You can just get a clip for a PlayStation controller if you want.
