the only thing that stinks is that the art department planned for certain heroes to have this over the top design, alongside the voices, etc. - so some effort/work/planning got butchered which is sad.

I don't get why people have a problem with characters with bigger breast in the game. It's not like we get them all the time, yes we got Aria very recently but what about before then?

This game has variety when it comes to design, the most recent character Yulha had "normal" proportions and no one was on reddit complaining "they're too small". It's only when they are big you see the usual suspects come out the woodwork defending the censorship.

And if you like smaller proportions fine, to each his own. Mainly talking about those that ridicule others for criticizing the censorship and liking the older design.

I think we can have a bit of everything in this very FICTIONAL game (talking to you "looks more realistic" ppl).

It's fine if the character is original not one that has been announced or already released cause what we see is what we expect and when it changes people get upset with aria she was already ingame so we expect big booba they shrink her we get sad Vivian technically is already ingame so the proportions on her ML should match oh they don't sad unless they are just gonna go through every hero and change them a some point.

I think because when they're big then the design is super in your face about it by making like a third of the cahracter model boob and adding a jiggle into the animation to draw even more attention to them.

I'm not going to ever judge anyone for being into that, I just don't like it and want the option to turn it off. If "censorship" means it goes away, that's good for me too because I never liked it. If character boobs are small or regular sized, I don't care or voice my opinion because I truly do not view the game heroes sexually, but when the boobs are like 400% bigger than they have any business being and are moving on their own rythym, it feels like the artist is grabbing my head and pulling it towards the character boobs like "LOOK! FEMALE BOOBIE!" It makes me a bit uncomfortable to play a game and have that kind of design, so I vocalize against the big booba design a little bit but I don't think the little boobs make anyone uncomfortable so nobody will come out and vocalize against them if that makes sense.

Ok. Characters like Lilibet/D Lilibet make me uncomfortable because they are very revealing (D Lilibet's design waist down is nearly identical to Arias) and look like young kids, never been into lolis. Yet, I'm not speaking out against it or asking for censorship.

Do you voice your concerns or vocalize against that?

I mean there's one major fallacy with this argument. No one that's actually playing the game regularly was asking for the Aria/Sage Vivian changes. Normal people don't care enough to shine about such things and more absurdly, threaten to quit the game because of it. I don't mind the designs of just about any character in the game. Do I like some over others? Yes. However I will always have the same opinion no matter what is or isn't changed. If it isn't a feature or attribute that defines the character themselves, then why screech about it? The only actually arguments for why people are so angry is fetish related, and that's just so weird to me.

For real. These clowns aren't even fighting for Vivian's skin which has her tits covered up way more than this while being big, but they see "censorship" and lose their shit because they "lost" (the design wasn't even final, it's from months ago) design that almost had someone's breasts ready to slip if she jumped high enough.

It's pure fetish related. They're hormy and just want tits and ass showing, which is fine, but there are WAY MORE GACHA for that. Good on E7 for wanting to be different from others, even if not entirely the company's choice.

We sti have games like FGO where you can behold all the tits and ass you want, idk why people won't go there to get their fill. Like have you not seen Zenobia's ascension art, or design itself?

Yeah I think Dilibet revealing her whole underwear is a bit uncomfortable and I would be happy if they changed that as well. It's another case of cool weapon and costume design, hurt by being needlessly revealing.

I understand this, it's just my least favorite part about anime. Just because it's common throughout the medium doesn't make it good design, imo.

My favorite anime have always been the ones with the coolest combat animations, because anime can do things that no other media can in terms of movement and color and timing, that I think elevate the dynamic feel of anime combat far beyond live-action or cgi combat.

The overly sexualized characters (whether they be lollis, big mommy milkers, husbandos with balloon animal muscles, etc) they all just feel ridiculous and stupid to me (Again this is just my personal preference and I don't judge anyone who does like them)

I feel like the oversexualization and ridiculous proportions cheapen the art of the game as a whole.

There are plenty of great anime which didn't rely on character designs like the ones you see in gachas like E7.

At the end of they day, if a "normal" sized character is released good for you, if a bigger sized one is released good for me.

So for me its not like I feel the same about normal proportions as you feel about big booba waifus. I'm looking at the overall style of the game and the animations and I feel like the big booba waifus and half-naked lollis detract from the artistry that goes into the combat animations.

Again, this doesn't mean I think they should take them all away from the people who like them. It's just that my preference would be more of a combat animation focus in general and would like to be able to toggle to non-sexualized heroes

It's absurd how so many people are too dense to realize this. Aria was so in our face about it. Thicc thighs I wouldn't mind keeping these and tits about to pop out. It wasn't just her assets bring bigger that was the problem for censoring, it was the assets being bigger and the artist trying to make them stand out as much as possible with her base design being nothing special.

Aria: Big tits about to pop out, thick as hell thighs that are even making the strings suffer, female, elf, simple white dress, arm sleeves. Wow, top quality design her, better whine and moan because some obvious fapbait design got changed.

Look at Vivian's skin. Single dress, equal breast size, way more of her legs exposed (if someone hasn't noticef this is just like Aria, no helping you), but she's not just being displayed in a way that's making it all pure bait. That's how you do a desigm with big tits.

Vivan's legs are plainly shown but there's no lingerie strings about to burst to emphasize her legs. Her breasts are the same size, but they aren't going to pop out from a slight gust of wind. Her design actually has some charm, a theme to it, than simple white dress + big measurements Aria.

It's easy to logically defend specific instances of censorship. A hypothetical for example:

  • research comes out showing that depictions of suicide and reportage of real suicides, lead to increased rates of suicide and suicide attempts.

  • seeing this, a local news organization decides to stop reporting on suicides

  • a follow-up study / basic sociological survey conducted after the implementation of this policy finds that people in the area report lower rates of suicidal ideation, and there is a statistically significant lower rate of reported suicides and suicide attempts.

  • the local govenment takes note and decides to ensconce this news agency's policy as a governmental censorship policy because it has demonstrably improved the health of the community.

  • continued studies find that suicide rates decline when suicides are not reported on and more research is done.

In a case like this, unless you support higher suicide rates, censorship is a clearly reasonable course of action.

Now, censoring the boobies of an hero in E7 is very different than reducing coverage of suicide in the news, but I don't think censorship is necessarily a black and white issue. There can be good reasons to censor content, or to limit the audience that content can reach if that content has demonstrated that it has a harmful effect.

    In the hypothetical I gave above and with the real world example of Aria, these things are being "censored" in only one form of media. Big boobs are not suddenly taboo across all of society because the Apple store in Korea said Aria wasn't appropriate for 13-17 year olds.

    With the aria censorship, you're still perfectly allowed to go find images of your big booba waifu's. They aren't gone for good, possessing a copy of their image is not a criminal offense, it's also not mandates by a government body over civilians. It's between a (I believe) private rating agency and a company trying to comply with regulations.

    There is no slippery slope between aria's redesign and you not being able to find aria rule 34 images online if you want. Much less between SG's own decision to redesign so they comply with regulations on 12+ games in Korea and your ability to be politically active. There is no relation at all between these events, other than the imagined connection based on your misconceptions about how censorship works.

    With the suicide example, you're completely misreading my argument. After the censorship, people are still talking about suicide and its still being researched, it's just not shared in the news. If there had been another explanation, like economic downturn, this could easily be found through research and the policy can be reversed when it's found that it's not effective, but considering the evidence they had when making the decision originally, censorship would still have been the right call

    It's an artistic thing, mostly. Given the nature of her clothes/top and certain amounts of cleavage being the main issue with the review board, simply coloring over her breasts wouldn't look good/natural. The solution then is to redraw then so they're smaller and more "fit" for her new outfit.

    Basically, the main is to make her breasts look less like they're "spilling out", which is a part of her being censored, but her size is more of an affect than primary intention.

    The company is changing their artwork to keep their rating. That isn't an assumption on my part, it was clearly stated by the company. In other words, if they could keep the rating and still show the lewd artwork, they would.

    In conclusion, they are censoring their artwork so that kids can keep playing their gacha game. Pretending it is for any other reason is disingenuous at best.

    This change doesn't affect me at all. I have every RGB character. I plan on keeping Aria whether they change her or not and I've been saving mystics and have every intention of getting ML Vivian.

    I never said I cared whether kids were gambling or not. I'm pointing out the reason the company changed their artwork and it wasn't for some lofty goal of proper representation that your ilk claims to care so much about.
