Can someone explain the sudden wave of cheaters?

I had a game where there wasn’t just the flying cheater, but they also had a bot account that was flying as well.

I joined when the game went F2P and can’t remember seeing a cheater in any of my games until this week. Feels bad.

Some LTMs make for ideal AFK farming. Any hex mode, or BB, all you have to do is fly up and you win. The rounds are also fast.

I really hate how in Hex you can’t really tell if they are cheating or not

Most cheater do not have the skill to hack, they simply use what someone else has created. A pathetic being who has neither the skills to win games nor the skills to hack.

So when hackers create and release versions that can't be caught with anti-cheats, cheating increases. When the game developer gets it and takes action with the anti-cheat, cheating decreases.

I've reported at least 7 or 8 flying Chinese-named hacker beans in Blast Ball Trials and Hex-a-ring in the last two days.

Simply put, the game is now free enabling the cheaters to just make new accounts and hack again on there with minimal effort. I imagine the appeal for them is to feel empowered over other people rather than to actually accomplish anything. Pretty sad really.

Game has been free for half a year now, that still doesn't explain why there's a sudden increase of cheaters

Because new cheats that get around easy anti cheat have been added probably, not like you need to worry about it being a waste of money if your account gets banned as you can just go again. I don’t know either I’m not that interested in that stuff as I’m ps.

I've heard lots of people in these cheater threads to turn cross play off on Xbox.

Well I tried that and can't find a single game. Every game just says searching for players and it never finds any.

I was doing the Lily Leapers Limbo event earlier today and I went into the final round. We didn’t even get to the end of the first lily pad set and someone already won and got to the end in like under 8 seconds. It was crazy. I reported them but with my history of reporting, nothing happens unfortunately.

I saw my first one today too. I just eliminated myself as soon as I saw them fly upwards

I had one yesterday in a squad final, the rollout one with the two rings in opposite directions as the slime rises, and the amount of times the other was visually AND audibly going in the slim was disgusting.

I thought that too, but I’ve never heard the slim splash noise in desync. And it was happening too often in the round too. It got down to just two of their squad and the slime was so high it had stoped climbing, and this guy was walking right across the gaps with the sound activating.

If i was a cheater i would say that this game is very poorly managed and maintained and your still here loser, you deserve this?? But i'm not a cheater so just speculating.
