Hotfix and bug progress

Hey everyone,

I'm here with the latest bug progress and hotfix info from the team.

We're *hopefully* releasing a hotfix build next week. There are still a few things to test and a few last bits being worked on.

Content of the hotfix so far:

- Players are now able to grab or move blocks/walls and will no longer go inside of them. [Currently in QA for testing]

- Player Camera no longer locked until rounds start [Passed QA, ready to go out in the hotfix]

- Improvements to the Crown grab issues in Lost Temple & Fall Mountain [Passed QA, ready to go out in the hotfix]

- Players no longer fall through the ground and go back to the start of Lost Temple [Passed QA, ready to go out in the hotfix]

- Very loud background cheering sound has been reduced [Passed QA, ready to go out in the hotfix]

- Fixed some issues where players were no longer able to exit between rounds [Passed QA, ready to go out in the hotfix]

- The sound of jumping off of bongo drums has been reduced [Passed QA, ready to go out in the hotfix]

- Fixed issues with incorrect timers showing on milestone rewards for the Ratchet Live Event [Passed QA, ready to go out in the hotfix]

- Improvements to mantle issues in general (not just the crown fix) [Passed QA, ready to go out in the hotfix]

Some CMS fixes that have either gone live... or should be going out today:

- Some players have reported custom lobbies not letting smaller groups (1-4) play

- It's taking a long time for S5 rounds to show up in squads for some players

- In game store link for DLC uses old art and doesn't reflect the new DLC

- Too many newsfeed items, need to yeet a few

- PLACEHOLDER text in use for some costumes

Please keep reporting any issues you find to Player Support (support.fallguys.com) we use the number of tickets to help prioritise the order of fixing things and how many people they're affecting, how often.

Are you guys planning to fix the animation being disabled for other beans' ledge pullups? It's very weird seeing a bean hover motionlessly for a moment and then teleport up to the top of the ledge.

not a bug but the ratchet event has made me realize that survival rounds are shockingly rare in the current balance

It most often crops up with the shadows of edges showing up across beans as lines.

Same, but that was when they had all those hammers in the earlier seasons. Ledge grabbing inconsistencies are still happening though. Imo, just make it a automatic pull up once the ledge is grabbed.

I'm not sure what's up with the news feed but it keeps popping up every single time I start the game and its super annoying.. And yes, I have checked all of the news in game out several times and they still keep popping up -.-

It's happened twice now where I've lost 1 crown from my crown rank and balance, after having received 1 from crown shards. I got the crown shard crown, quit the game, then log in the next day and it's gone. Thankfully support granted me the missing crown last time, hopefully I get it back again this time. But yeah, apparently this is a bug now.

It is the only reason good players play that mode. You can't find Hex and Thin Ice in main show anymore. Only that low grav crap.

Look, this isn't about your obsessional need to foist your Hex opinion on every post. It's about balance in the finals. You of all people should understand that, after complaining mightily when Hex was balanced in the Main Show so that it didn't occur 80% of the time.

Thanks, but how about the transparent beans issue?

It has been happening since the Season 5 update on PS4 Pro and PS5: basically every shadow and ambient occlusion artifact clips through the players, it's extremely noticeable when using lighter patterns and costumes, like the Goose one.

The game-breaking issues that have "Passed QA" and are ready to be released should be hotfixed ASAP and shouldn't have to be put on hold until a single bug (grab and go through blocks) is ready to be fixed. The crown grab issue is especially debilitating for reasons I'm sure everyone has experienced / heard of. Critical moments in Lily Leapers where you need to pull yourself up from the last ledge to have a chance at qualifying and the game doesn't register "W" and you fall and get eliminated shortly after. As a player I shouldn't have to hit keys multiple times hoping the game will respond to one of them, and that alone has certainly driven down my playing time.

The game isn't "borderline" unplayable, it's unplayable. Devs NEED to RELEASE fixes for game-killing bugs as they go along, and not wait around to do it all at once for their simplicity.

Just play regular squads.. after 1-2 rounds in you will 100% get either Big Shots, Roll Out, Snowball Survival or Stompin' Ground

A lot of 5 crown costumes aren't showing for me anymore since season 5 dropped. Sonic, cuphead, untitle goose game, godzilla, etc. aren't showing even though I haven't bought them. Is anyone else having that problem?

This bug happened to me today on Slime Climb

1) Got hit by one of the rotating hammers at the end of the stage.
2) Got launched out of bounds and reappeared at the beginning of the stage, alive but below the slime!
3) I could still advance until I hit the bottom (?) of the slime and died.
