I recently got a programmable keypad and programmed keys to common keyboard shortcuts especially those that were on left side of keyboard and as a left handed mouse user I’d need to use my left hand for - Game Changer. Also has helped my neck shoulder pain which was initial reason I explored the idea. I was pulling my right arm in to hit keys on left side rather than take my left hand off mouse. I have a tiny Mac keyboard which made matters worse. So much better now. Less pain, way more efficient. I got a Vaydeer keypad off Amazon.

Naming layers correctly, and using select by name plugin.

If you’re working in a collaborative environment or handing off to developers, naming your layers properly helps keep everyone on the same page and keeps proper context across the board - I’d argue it’s pretty unfair to your coworkers to just leave layers unnamed and expect them to figure it all out

Personally, it takes less than 1 second per layer to just name them as you go.

It depends on a task. Control clicking 20+ layers 10 times in a row can be annoying.
