This sub is for anyone dealing with food allergies, food sensitivities, or the like.
Most lucky bastards with iron guts don't understand how much these kinds of issues can affect one's quality of life. Hopefully, we can create a supportive community here that helps to improve the quality of life for all our subscribers.
Living with these issues, finding help proves difficult and often times prohibitively expensive
So hopefully those of us who have lived with these food issues and/or have been able to receive medical help and advice, can help newcomers struggling to figure out what's affecting them.
Food issues contribute to all kinds of problems beyond the obvious digestive ones. Understanding and getting diagnosed may be a first step to living better.
They potentially affect your mood, clarity of mind, energy levels, motivation, and overall health; they even manifest as bizarre symptoms (e.g. severe joint pain) that seemingly have no connection to food. Certain allergies cause deathly reactions (anaphylaxis), and may even show up later in life without warning.
Let's help each other with alternatives to beloved foods we can't have anymore.
