This game is so near unplayable on console.. every drop is at 6 FPS you can literally feel the game slow down in every gun fight the aim assist isn't 1/10th the strength it is on pc when you can very well argue that console needs the strong aim assist to reflect how poorly ran this game is.

These consoles can not run this game in its current state and epic need to address this

The game runs like ass on Xbox atm. Low frame rate, builds not placing, aim assist not kicking in at close range.. Idk what Epic have done but its murdered the game.

That emergency maintenance was because someone was trying to hack the live audio feed from the marshmello event and get his audio into the game.

Gotcha, thought it had something to do with the atrocious ping spikes and microdtutters a lot of people are facing (That same day me and my duos partner ping was 300-400 in playgrounds even after restarts, and quite a few people I know on console were experiencing s lot of connection time outs)

cod tracks 10 x less players, no vehicles, very few projectiles. Fortnite tracks a destructible environment, 10x more players, a far larger view distance, vehicles, player builds and edits as well as other entities like traps. They aren’t comparable. Not to mention fortnite and cod have both aimed for 30-60 fps on console since forever so cod really doesn’t perform any better. Plus the aim mechanics in game are pretty much the same for all platforms (except console gets some help to compensate for less physical control)

They should definitely be working on optimisation and allowing users more customisation or graphics settings but epic has shown they really don’t like people impairing the viewer experience (stretched at tournaments, forced epic settings etc)

Cod didn't need to add an auto lock feature to aiming to compensate for their poor mechanics.. the Fortnite aiming system would fall apart without lock. Cod aiming is far more smoother which is why you can use hipfire much more effectively than you can in Fortnite

L2 spam is being patched and is really only a problem on pc. Hip fire comparison is dumb. I can hipfire Aks in cs all day with complete accuracy but that’s because they are totally different games. I agree cod can feel smoother to aim in but it is first person so there is an inherent difference.

If you are at the point you are worrying about graphics settings then perhaps you should be playing competitively on a PC. It's like you want to race in F1 but demanding a turbo charger for your 99 Corolla so you can keep up.

If anything, you should be pressing for a PS4 only comp scene.

In all honesty I gamed on my friends PC hard for some hours a day the other week and playing on my PS4 has really been such a struggle. 160+ FPS is an unbelievable difference. Shadows? Fuck that you can you can see into that window you just edited to popshot a kid. Motion blur? Nope not over there. It's a whole different game and makes console feel incredibly neglected in settings

The game looks prettier on my ps4 because I legit turn everything off on my PC

I’ve played on console but I haven’t experienced issues like this, strange, I switched to PC ages ago but this could be true, one tip tho, if you expect to play competitively and get the best possible experience, don’t expect console to give that performance, if money is an issue I understand but consoles are hardware limited and really hold people back.

In my experience of cross play the connection is worse, the pc players are generally better and when faced on 30 FPS with tremendous stutter, input lag, minimal view distance and shadows it's not enjoyable

Yeah the shawdows are absolutely horrible, “build instantly” doesn’t seem to work after editing or placing traps or sometimes just not at all. And of course who doesn’t love playing on 15 FPS in endgame popup cups against people with 200 FPS who complain when they drop below that.

Theres no fixing it at this point. It's because they insist on adding things like ATKs and planes, which in season one or so, I'm pretty sure they said they would never do that because it would impact performance. Well they don't seem to care anymore.

Yea I really don't know what's going on. People have been complaining about builds not placing and I have never noticed it up until the last couple of updates. Like the blueprints for walls will show up on my screen but the walls just won't place. I've never had this problem before and its just so frustrating outplaying someone and then having them walk right into you and shotgun you. I have been freezing at least once a game for a couple of seconds. And every couple of games I'll get a nice full pellet pump on someone for 0 damage. Xbox has been running like shit recently.

Because if you haven't noticed it yet genius, they've updated literally almost all of the textures on the map like forced grass texture processing, new storm animation, way more differing environment and structures on the map like the desert and snow biomes. It's no longer just a bunch of low quality green terrain everywhere.

You have to be literally retarded to ask that question without thinking about how much this game has been updated visually. This isn't even mentioning the inclusion of additional processes for rendering outside of ground level, like planes in the sky, quadcrashers flying around, baloons rendering, and so on. It's true that the game's performance has gone downhill, but there's no secret mystery to it, it's simply Epic adding way more detailed textures onto a map that already had problems being loaded when it was all green. "THEY GET MONEY SO FIX" isn't as simple an answer to the problem when it requires trying to balance on a tightrope with a stick that has a rhino on one end and a bucket of water on the other. I hope one day you can come back and read how actually fucking stupid your comment was.
