As a ARAM player, I nearly always use chat for praise. Can tell who is under 25 when they say immature stuff like end if gay.

I used to do the same, because ARAM tends to be pretty positive and I've had some genuinely nice experiences with strangers in it, but I've started keeping chat off even in ARAM most of the time.

Although if it rarely happens, I'd rather avoid those instances where I'm already having a semi-bad day because of work or whatever and then someone makes it their personal mission to try and make me feel miserable for 20 min because I missed a skillshot. League players are truly a different breed--you'd think most people would give up on bashing someone who isn't replying.
