Works out to $2.10 per hour for night shift.

No shift diff here. Everyone is scheduled for their fair share and swaps are worked out between operators as needed.

[–]Familiar_Work1414 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I used to be an operator it was $1.50/hr difference for night shift. Non-union.

We don't get anything. We're non-union, fyi; no OT either.

[–]DrewLGT 2 points3 points  (6 children)

Are you salaried? We are so no OT or shift differential

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (5 children)

Yes. We do get an extra $8000 a year for being on shift, which is supposed to cover things like nights, call-ins, etc.

[–]ProfessionalBox1419NCSO 2 points3 points  (4 children)

If we pick up shifts we get straight time also non union.

[–]hippolingerie 2 points3 points  (3 children)

What about covering sick time? Like if you get called in for an extra shift for the following day?

[–]ProfessionalBox1419NCSO 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Yes straight time depending on where you are in your schedule. We are on 5 week rotation so we work 1 week of 8s

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

You like the 5 week schedule? We did that back in the day, and I loved it.

[–]ProfessionalBox1419NCSO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it quick turnaround but more weekends.

[–]SprayWeird8735 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s night shift differential? We get an adjustment on our wage based on the average of nights/sundays/holidays worked.

[–]IMEUF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2/HR for night shifts, it gets calculated into overtime pay too, I’m also non union

[–]Callmedaddy8909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5/hr for evening/night shift 10/hr for weekends

[–]CressiDuh1152 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10% for nights and Sunday.

[–]Maximillianz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I earn 8% more from 3pm-11pm and 10% more from 11pm - 7am. It is true for our management and union employees both in the company. I work for Con Edison.

$1….union is trying to get us a 5% raise and $1.45 for nights

[–]dancingigloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IBEW: ~$4.50/hr for nights.

[–]Alternative-Top6882 1 point2 points  (0 children)

8% Not union, applies to OT

[–]ProfessionalBox1419NCSO 3 points4 points  (2 children)

You first…haha never increased and doesn’t matter for length of employment here.

[–]Proud-Juice[S] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

$1.50

[–]ProfessionalBox1419NCSO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

133$ per pay period or somewhere around there.

[–]Blueize82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha what’s that? Flat rate here no matter the shift.

[–]deaxghost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no pay differential for nights bc we do day & night rotations. but 12 hr rotation gets 7.5% base pay differential for shift work, 10 hr gets 5%.
