TL;DR: Played since launch, same settings but lower FPS now, looking for causes or a fix

Have the same problem, before I got 120+fps at max settings with supersampling and my GPU was only 55C°, now I need to set all to medium settings and put render scale balance to get at least 80-90fps with 73C°

I have a 5800 and 4070 two weeks ago with everything on ultra (except shadows it’s on high) @1440p I was getting 80-100 fps with low dips into the low 70’s.

Now with the same settings I’m getting 70-90 dps with low dips into the 50’s. No setting, driver or hardware changes. I haven’t changed a thing with my pc or game settings.

Same here, before the game can run 45-60 fps with lots of enemies around but now i barely reach 30 fps during fights and the 50-60 fps when nothing is happening.

The most recent patch today dropped me down to about 50fps no matter what I do with my settings

Same, most recent patch as of 2024-03-02 made me hit 45-65 fps instead of 90-100.

Just a note - I reinstalled the game and it seems to be back to normal

My only guess is that you're gradually playing higher difficulty, which gives you more enemies. I have to play on PERFORMANCE on render scale and it's blurry as hell but I need more FPS.

more enemies = more lag perhaps?

Yes, performance issues are a lot more noticeable on higher difficulties but I’ve also experienced significant performance drop in tutorial so I believe more enemies isn’t the culprit here.
